I haven’t had a worst experience at a restaurant. Service was terrible, our party arrived and we didn’t even have enough tables for our reservation (5 seats were missing).We had to chase down the waiters to order our food. To give you an idea, our reservation was for 6:30 and we ended up eating at 8:30. If you’re looking for good service and good food go elsewhere, you won’t get that here.

Had the opportunity of dinning with my family at the British on St Patrick's day. The service of our server was great, the food however was not so great, the breading on the fish and chip was like rubber it may have been fried then re-heated in the microwave? the burgers were so so but to be honest we're over priced for the quality, they forgot my daughter's pizza. Our server did his best to remedy our issue but in all honesty I will not be going back.

We went to the restaurant for lunch. The cauliflower bites were very good, and the squash salad was also light and refreshing. My partner had the vegetarian burger (which I'm glad is on the menu) but could use some improvements. I wish there was oat milk for coffee since the café next door serves it. All in all, it was a good and pleasant experience.

I go from time to time with my buddy and I usually just drink but this time I ordered nachos for 23$ and I they were very underwhelming for the price. No meat, dry and definitely not a plate I could share. The experience was ok overall.

Stopped for lunch with a friend because the building is quite stunning. Nothing about it disappointed. The service and food was incredible. I wish I could remember the names of the servers as they were awesome. We had pizza and beet salad and the shrimp appetizer. All were perfect!!!

My first time at the British hotel for some beer and food! Had the Mediterranean pizza, which was very good. Great friendly staff, French and English spoken. Prices are good for the size of food you get. Will definitely go back again!

Stayed at this hotel overnight the room was beautiful.Very cleanMeals are not included though so take this into consideration but there is an excellent pub restaurant downstairs but be aware the menu changes at night, The burgers are excellent but they do not offer them on the night menu.Only lite stuff on the night menu like chicken wings and poutine.This hotel is full of history extremely interesting .

3rd strike. After our 3rd time trying this place, we will never be back. The young server did her best, unfortunately she had the kitchen working against her. The food was terrible, how do you burn nachos and not even melt the cheese at the same time. We had a salad also, which had rotten vegetables in it. Thankfully we werent charged for the meal because it would have been over $100 for nachos and a salad, and 2 glasses of wine.

Decent Menu, good service, and the food is usually pretty good. Never used their hotel services. As a local I've only visited their Bar and Restaurant.Although it's likely due to the times in 2023 (inflation and what not), I find value for $$ leaves more to be desired.

March 2023I recently came here for the first time with a friend on St.Patrick's Day, and LOVED it.Great live music performed by the Jon Dale band, and the place was rocking. Check their website as live bands are scheduled every Friday or Saturday night, no cover charge.The place was busy, yet the service was excellent.A single Canadian pizza for $20 was plenty for the two of us to share.This is a gem of a place. A historic building that dates back to 1834. Historic plaques, pictures, and memerobilia is hanging up on the walls. Renovated and reopened in 2016.Absolutely beautiful, and my type of place.We were there at night, so the street parking was free and easy to get.
