I think this place has the best nachos hands down in Saint John. Wow.. I didn't even know this place existed until a few days ago but I will certainly be returning. The food, drinks and service was amazing. Not the cheapest place to eat but I don't mind paying for quality. We had nachos, wings, chicken strips and a couple of kids meals. All were great. The Dave Matthews cocktail was delicious.

Over a few days of our family trip, we stayed at the Delta Marriott in St. John and we were so glad to have sampled many breakfast and dinner dishes at the Mix. They had some amazing treats on the menu you absolutely must try. Scallops, pulled pork poutine, fish and chips, crispy chicken burger, even their pizza was quite savory. The Mix signature cocktails were also VERY tasty. (the Dave Matthews was my favorite). For dessert, the caramel cheesecake and apple blossom were out of this world amazing. Full marks to the staff who greet you with a smile and are very friendly. We will definitely make the Mix a return trip destination.

I don’t know what to say other than this is probably the worst restaurant I’ve eaten at in the city. Staff and service were excellent, but the food quality is very low IMO, especially considering the steep prices.

What I find difficult about this place is that it should be better. The atmosphere is nice, but the food is well below expectation. Over-cooked, poorly plated, and the taste is average. But the service is slow too. A person can forgive a subpar meal if the service is great. Quick, attentive service can help patrons overlook a mediocre meal. But put them together and then you are relying on the ambiance to carry the experience.It does not.

Unfortunately this place is really subpar. Went there for a birthday dinner last night and the food was not very good. One person didn’t even eat their meal and I would bet good money my soup was from a can (and was barely warm). My husband said the nachos were some of the worst he’s ever had. We didn’t want to ruin the birthday so we all just ate and left. The waitress was friendly though and did a great job (why I gave 2 stars).

The ONLY good thing about our stay at The Delta Saint John was the pair of breakfast tickets redeemed here. We passed on the buffet and went straight for the menu, ordering what turned out to the best plate of pancakes of our entire Maritime trip.Our lovely server was an added bonus, and the entire pot of coffee she gave us sealed the deal.

The family and I ate dinner here while staying at the Delta Hotel. Food, staff, decor and ambience was excellent. We all left in a good mood, thanks Mix Resto Bar. Great job everyone, until next time.

The waiter there didn’t get his name but he’s new and came from Pizza Delight; he was soooo attentive, polite and friendly! He knew his stuff as if he’s been working there a long time! So I will say superb waiter!!! The food this time was 3 out of 5! The 4 is for service.My carbonara was good but I felt there was just too much bacon bits, you can’t see it from the image as it just looks sprinkled on top but it was actually ALL throughout. Some people might like that, I just felt like it took away from the seafood. The poutine’s gravy was quite thick this time versus last and the burger would’ve been a little better if it was juicier. Tad over cooked. Overall not a bad second trip here but some more attention from the chef/cooks would benefit this restaurant more!

Nice cozy restaurant attached to the Delta Hotel. Tanya, our waitress, is outstanding, so charming and friendly.
