Kepler Academy Early Learning and Child Care - Downtown Edmonton

Our daughter was one of the first children enrolled at Sun Life when she was 12 months old. Trusting your child to anyone is incredibly challenging but we could not be happier with how much our daughter has flourished as a result of the environment, love, and care provided by the workers/teachers. Additionally, the Kepler team was always willing to work with us through any concerns that we had.The only reason we are leaving Kepler is because we are moving out of the province. We are sad to leave & our daughter will miss her teachers and her group of best friends. Thank you for providing such wonderful care to our daughter, we are forever thankful!

My children have been attending the Kepler Academy Downtown location for the last 2 years and we are absolutely happy with the care and education they have received. We decided to try Kepler Academy because of their well-developed curriculum, and have stayed because of the wonderful staff. Kepler Academy is locally owned and operated chain of daycares, and the company has been very good to deal with: very accommodating to your family’s situation, and reasonable fees for the level of services they offer.The center is located in the Sunlife Office Tower takes up an entire floor, and was newly built to the latest standards for daycare centers. The center is spacious, clean and well laid out. I especially appreciate that there is a very large room for the kids to have active play, for days when it’s too cold to go outside. And when it’s nice to go outside, the private playground on the building’s terrace is amazing! Be sure to check out the photos of this playground, I’m sure you’ll agree. If you are worried about the inconvenience of dropping off your child downtown in an office tower, I would say that it hasn’t been an issue for me. The street parking around the Sunlife building is free 15-minute passenger drop off. It only takes me 10 minutes to drop off and pick up the kids (which also includes getting their boots and coats on)The staff have been absolutely wonderful. The teachers are professional, caring and attentive and our children always tell me that they had an excellent day when I pick them up. And lastly the kids love the food! I always see the center’s chef working hard to prepare fresh and nutritious lunches.If you are looking for a daycare in the central region, I highly recommend you ask for a tour of this Kepler Academy location.

Update, 2022: We have the best director in the daycare system. Armeen is brilliant. We are so lucky to have her and I am so grateful for the care and attention she gives my daughter.2021: My daughter, who was woefully under-socialized thanks to the pandemic, got comfortable here quickly. She's already built relationships with her teachers, especially Irene and Ji Hwa. She has smiles for everyone when she arrives and I dread the day, coming soon, when she decides that school is cooler than her mama.

I have had a positive experience with putting my son into Kepler at Sunlife Place. Despite the multiple changes in Administration over a short period of time, my son had very loving and caring care providers who made sure he was well taken care of all day and engaged in learning and playing.

As a former employee of Kepler I’d like to point out some flaws- they allow staff to be rough with kids- they don’t feed a nutritious lunch as everything is covered in oil- they don’t allow kids to be creative in any way- they allowed a staff who lost a child who walked out the front doors to continue working there- They allow the younger toddler staff to force kids on a bed when they are not tired.

Kepler Sunlife was my very first experience with any daycare, as a new mom of one child. The Kepler staff accommodated my requests/needs I had for my child, without question. I am extremely impressed with this daycare facility, and would highly recommend to any parent whose wants to see their child thrive and learn new things in a safe/controlled environment. I recently relocated my son to another Kepler location due to convienience, and the transition was seamless. 100% worth the waitlist/or the money.

We enrolled our son on this program and unfortunately at the end of the month for personal reasons we decided it wasn’t a great fit for our family. We paid the extra month required for not giving enough notice, but the institution “forgot” to remove the automatic deposits on my credit card and charged me for two more months. The month of November was only reimbursed in the middle of January and we are one day away from February and I still haven’t received my reimbursement for the debit on December 1st. I don’t understand what’s the difficulty in reimbursing an amount that was debited mistakenly by the own institution. I wouldn’t trust Kepler Academy again after so much problem to solve something that was their own mistake

Our daughter has been attending the Kepler Sun Life location for over 2 years. We are grateful for the stable routine she has with attending the Kepler program and has had many excellent educators…Shoba and Gurmeet were both wonderful at assisting her through some difficult transitions. Currently we are grateful for the gentle care that she is receiving from Ambika. Ambika greets us with a smile every morning, is open to communicating with us to ensure our daughter is well supported, and is always working hard to provide the children with a great day.

My husband and I were sceptical about leaving our 16th month old with unknown people, specially because it's taking him long to verbally communicate and also because he had only be breastfed and didn't know how to fall asleep on his own. Since the beginning we loved how clean and organized the facility is, the variety of food they introduce them to and the learning curriculum. It's been amazing to see the changes in him, in the beginning he had difficulty eating and taking his naps... but now he eats everything on his plate (by himself), he's drinking cow's milk from a cup, falls asleep on his own and he is the most social I've ever seen him. The educators are so excited to see him and he loves them too! We are so grateful for all the care and love they provide to our son, even when he's sick at home. Truly amazing people!

My husband and I enrolled our 15mo back in March and we were nervous wrecks about whether we were doing the right thing about putting our daughter in daycare. Especially in downtown with downtown parking. Armeen was amazing from the start with the tour and answering any and all questions for us. She really helped ease our minds. Parking turned out to be no big deal since there are multiple 15 min loading zone street stalls in front of the building and people are pretty quick with drop offs. We have never had a problem with parking out front.I must admit the first month was rough with our daughter (and us) getting used to daycare, but now she absolutely loves it and is always happy to see her educators and friends everyday. Ji Hwa and Ritu are so great and so adorable with the babies, we trust them completely with our daughter. They have been nothing but amazing. We would recommend Kepler to anyone!
