This was part of the march on Orange Shirt Day- it was inviting and informative to hear more about the stories of the children of the residential schools. Check it out on the UBC campus!

This is definitely a must stop for all students at UBC and a place everyone should visit. There are interactive histories, books, and interviews, a great place for learning and a hope for healing.

Went to school here for grade 12 from Hay River. I am a Norweigan who thought this school was good for all students attending. Each student had a room with 4 bed. In my room we had both white and natives, who got along well. There was no molesting or inappropriate going ons. Infact the school run similar to a military bases in that the students helped out with some of the duties. Example: You maybe assigned laundry duty, kitchen duty, ( basically scrapping dishes as students brought returned them to a part of the kitchen. Not hard nor very reasonable for staying at the residents free....., plus getting an education free. There was no Abuse evident. Some schools may have had problems, but not this one. But complaints bring money....... RIGHT !!!!,
