A neat defense against early privateers. There are panels with the history on them with pictures to help keep people engaged. Awesome to see this monument in the well kept state it is in. Great photos and just an overall pleasant piece of history to visit.

Woth the stop especially if they have the building open to look in. It's a, quick tour with a, lot of cool history. The two young ladys working the day we stopped in were great. Full of information great at answering questions and chitchat back and fourth. After your done in the building you can go check out the cannons. It's in a beautiful spot to look out if the tied is out go out and walk on a Rocky beach.

The Blockhouse is a historic site, and a great place to visit. During operating hours there are pleasant staff to answer questions about the building and it's significance. It's close to a spit where you can let your dog off-leash(best at low tide). There is also a parkette immediately across the street with nice landscaping, benches, and public washrooms.

Not a bad pitstop on your way to the downtown area. The blockhouse itself wasn't open and I am unsure if it ever is. However, the surrounding scenery makes this place worth the stop.

Nice little spot highlighting Canadian history. If you come during my low tide there is a spot you can walk way out into the ocean bed, not often you can say you walked the ocean floor.

It was not wheelchair accessible due to loose gravel trails. It has a ramp that is difficult to use as the path and parking are not good. My wife could see the place while I had to wait in parking lot in my wheelchair as it was to hard for her to push me through all that loose gravel. This could easily be fixed at little cost and if thought about before it would have cost no extra. Hope it is corrected for others to enjoy.
