Nice bridge, however the sidewalk is very narrow. Difficult to get your bicycle across. No way would a loaded touring cyclists make it across. This bridge is not wheelchair accessible.

This was where my Dad almost had a fight with a Canadian Customs official until i defused the situation, hustled him outside and back into the car. I took him to the Skydeck thing to calm him down (my Dad, not the customs dude).

I visited the Ivy Lea bridge on Oct 8 2022. It was a lovely day with beautiful river views from the bridge and with the added interest of periegrine falcons overhead which were pointed out to me and my friends by bridge maintanance people. The attached photo is of one of the bridge painters - the bridge is continuously kept freshly painted a pretty spring green. The passing traffic was very noisy making it hard to have a conversation, but the shaking of the bridge gave the bridge visit a dynamic feel.

Views from the bridge are amazing. Don't bother paying the toll to drive across the bridge as your view is obstructed. Park and walk the bridge for a better experience,

Very old bridge, been in service for as long as I can remember. Fun to drive across as long as you don't mind narrow lanes. Some great views for passengers.

Walking across using the pedestrian walkway is a fun activity to do if you are already in the area. There are some very nice views and photo ops. The bridge does move a bit when larger trucks cross so obviously not recommended for anyone uncomfortable with heights. The walkway is one person wide in parts and a bit wider in others, so you should be able to pass other walkers if necessary. There were no other pedestrians when I was there. There are signs indicating that bikes are not allowed on the walkway.

Its over 1000, and you ll encounter some beautiful small islands...We took a boat tour of this island 1000 Island and guide were well aware of what he was doing. He informed us about each and every island on the route. This boat tour was on Saint Lawrence river which comes from Canada. It was thrilling to know one side of the river is the USA and another side is Canada and houses on Canada side were so close, the person sitting on his patio can even wave us.Guide told us, for being an island, it should have 3 criteria, tree-house and the third thing I don’t remember. We were amazed to see island having just one house and no space at all. Wondering how a person living there was able to stay there so long. Guess they are done with humans: PThe beauty of Thousand Island is the bunch of unique small island in a vast water zone. The islands were super clean and have millionaires staying there. The staff was amazing and snacks on board we all reasonably priced. Our tour included 3 hours of time to get to the island and have a 1-hour stopover. Which was plenty of time. The way home included a stop to Bolt Castle with the option of catching any other Uncle Sam boat back to shore. The scenery is magnificent; the choice of things to do is great, but mostly it is a relaxing time. Enjoy both a sunrise and a sunset over the St. Lawrence.
