Amazing small and underrated place. The restaurant is run alone by the owner, a kind Taiwanese lady who likes to interact with customers. The food is amazing. Authentic Taiwanese cuisine that isn't too common in the area. It's across from my school so I'll likely come here daily for lunch and/or bubble tea/slush drinks.

Sweet, small, locally owned business. The woman who owns it is really hardworking and nice. Food price is affordableGreat to see this place in business. Very fun to order on delivery apps too as interior is small

Small Taiwanese restaurant just across from Douglas College but the food was delicious! We ordered the fried chicken nuggets, fried pork chop with rice, and meat sauce on rice, and loved them all. The owner was a friendly Taiwanese lady who mentioned that she originally operated a bigger store by Metrotown before moving to New Westminster. I definitely recommend coming here! There are only about 4 free parking spots for the tiny complex but there are plenty of paid street parking spots. I came at 5 pm so it was fairly quiet and the food came out pretty quickly.

Conveniently located within walking distance from New West SkyTrain, and tucked away in the corner, you'll find a hidden gem! To me, it felt like I was having a home cooked meal at my aunt's house. The owner is very sweet and welcoming. She recommended some dishes and I'm glad she did! I enjoyed the flavours of each dish, especially the chicken nuggets! If you would like to experience homemade Taiwanese food at a great price, this is the place to be.

On one of my frequent jaunts down to New Westminster, I noticed a tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurant across from Douglas College called Rong Rong Tea House. Intrigued, I made a point to visit here on a future occasion. The restaurant is set back a bit from 8th Street and you enter in the tiny door that’s off Agnes Street. Once you walk inside, you notice that the main seating area is situated further in the back of the restaurant with a small step up that leads to about 18-20 seats. The elderly lady that greets you is rather friendly and proud to serve her home-cooked Taiwanese dishes. She mentioned that she used to run Beautiful Island on Imperial Street before moving to this location.I decided to try their Braised Pork with Preserved Vegetables ($14 plus $2 for a bowl of rice). This is a well known Hakka comfort dish (aka mui choy kau yuk) where the fatty pork slices practically melts in your mouth. I thought this version was pretty good with a crisp bite to the greens that served as a base for the braised pork slices. When you add that with the preserved mustard greens on top… mmmm! This is a great dish to eat with a bowl of rice.Overall, the pork slices were fairly tender (some more so than other pieces) and was accompanied with thinly shaved pickled cucumbers which provided a crisp crunch that offset the tender pork.I returned for a revisit the following month and ordered the Deep-Fried Pork Cutlet on Rice ($9.95) and, like the last dish I ordered here, it was served with thinly sliced pickled cucumbers. The cutlet had a very nice crunch from the batter they used and I was surprised at how juicy the meat was on the inside. The rice was topped with some small chunks of stewed pork and juices. I actually quite enjoyed this dish… not exactly a healthy dish given how greasy the cutlet was but it was tasty. After two months, I wound up back at Rong Rong because another nearby restaurant was closed. The Deep-Fried Chicken Cutlet on Rice ($9.95) was very similar to the pork cutlet dish that I ordered on my last visit. The chicken had a very pleasing crispy crunch to the chicken skin and the meat on the inside was juicy. It was a bit oily but that’s to be expected from this kind of deep-fried dish. The menu here is rather limited but there’s not very many places that you can find Taiwanese food in the New West area.

The best chicken nuggets in great Vancouver ! ! ! I’ve tried 14 different Taiwanese restaurants or food courts. So far , this place is the top of my choice! Other bento boxes are worth trying as well!

A great homey Taiwanese food experience! Service is fast and if you’re looking for a reasonably priced lunch spot this is it! You order and pay at the front so if you’re on a time crunch it’s great. I’ve been here 3 times and every time it’s been very good. Well seasoned but also the dish has a lot of variety with the side dishes. The tea they serve is also very good. I recommend this place to my friends and coworkers!

Take out via ubereats ordered at 7pm, overall verdict = wouldn't order again. (Reviewed by Hong Kongers)Deep fried squid: 3/10. $7.50. Maybe it's reflecting of the price, but as you can see from the pictures, they're tiny portions. Taste? Maybe it's better dining in. But I wouldnt order it ever again.Deep fried chicken: 5/10. $7.50. Again, maybe reflecting of price, but portions are small (not tiny). maybe better dining in BC pictures on Google show basil leaves but nothing here. Boyfriend liked the taste and would have preferred to pay the $9 price for a larger portion. Me? Would have gone to bubble world or pearl castle instead.Beef noodle soup: 2/10. $13. Price would have been fine if it tasted good. Both of us were beyond disappointed. Bubble world (which is like McDonald's of Taiwanese food to us, overexaggerated of course) tasted better. The soup reminded me of low quality wonton soups. Beef were meh, noodles were not worth. Never again.Braised pork: better of the entire meal. 7/10 for taste. 2/10 for portion. $15, maybe inflation hit them badly. The pork was great! For 4 pieces, perhaps it's reflective of inflation. The veggies and marinated cucumbers were okay, not bad considering the whole meal. Egg was marinated well.I felt like most reviews here are from students @ Douglas. I don't know the demographics but from someone who grew up with Asian food (aka Richmond quality), this is NOT WORTH 4.8 STARS ON GOOGLE. Benefit of the doubt: inflation. Reality (ubereats at 7pm on a Friday): terrible. I would have given them a 1 star but the pork was actually good, they did well there.
