Black Rooster Inn & Apartments

Charged me $200 for some towels that were greasy I left, and two plates I forgot to clean. Pretty stupid. If you want to relax and not get charged for ridiculous things that you pay not to have to worry about, don't stay here. Otherwise place and staff were fine

Very clean, spacious rooms, good enough parking, both the rooms I booked had a full kitchen, they have laundry on site. the front desk guy is amazing. Very friendly, willing to help at any time of the day. He is willing to stay up till 2AM if you request him.

Terrible, terrible, terrible! Overpriced ++, dirty, untidy, unhygienic bbq entertainment" area (shift all the trash bins!) and walkways. Horrid cave like room

Booked 2 suites and an extra room for our group of fisherman. The suites in buildings 3 were fantastic but the extra room in building 1 was not. Thankfully Travis from the front desk worked really hard to get us sorted out and we were able to enjoy our stay. He was great and changed our experience from disappointing to enjoyable. Would stay again in the newer buildings but recommend other people booking look closely at the specific units they are booking as they are definitely not all of the same quality.

Overall I had a great stay here while working in prince rupert for 2 weeks. My room was small and a bit outdated (main building)But the staff are lovely and will go out of their way to help. Rooms had a small kitchenette for little meals here and there and quite an extensive common kitchen.I also spent my last night in one of the newer buildings with large common kitchens and these were newly renovated and very nice with a beautiful view out the back.

I stayed in a two bedroom shared kitchen common area building on the most east side of the three buildings, private bathroom, private bedroom. Parking was crowded in the back because of boats and other tenants but Nithin was awesome and helped make sure I park in secure area on street in front of the building with 24/7 surveillance.Bedroom is big, new flooring, furnishings, nice clean linens, very comfortable, thick white towels for the bathroom, the towel holder hook kept coming off, my only comment. Fridge was able to accommodate my fridge goods and freezer goods because I travel for work.Nithin is super friendly and personable, only 15 min walk to wheelhouse brewery, would definitely stay here again for affordable, clean accommodation in Prince Rupert. The Crest is twice as expensive and dated now, good for views on the patio on a sunny day for lunch, dinner, but otherwise you get more bang for your buck here.

Perfect stay, the staff are really lovely and go out of the way to be helpful even staying available after 11pm due to a long train delay. Everything you need is provided, including access to a laundry room and the room was lovely and clean a really comfortable stay!

I stay here every time I come to town and the location is within walking distance of everywhere I need to go. The rooms are clean and perfect for my needs. The staff are friendly and accommodating

We were really impressed! We usually look for the most affordable option and don't hold high expectations but our expectations were blown out of the water. The bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and shared spaces were well cared for, clean, and well decorated.To add to the overall positive experience, when I forgot my backpack there and was trapped in the ferry unable to retrieve it Travis at the drop off a hat drove it to the ferry and dropped it off for me.We're very grateful and would love to stay there again in the future.

The photos are much better than the actual suite. This inn has 3 buildings. Only the main one has the nice colourful exterior. The other two are pretty bland. We had a deluxe 2 bed 1 bath in the second building and it's pretty run down. Rusted dirty heat register, dusty broken blinds, splattered wall, grimy head board, coffee maker doesn't work, tiny bathroom. It really needs a thorough deep clean. Worst of all super crooked floor/counter tops etc. This building is seriously leaning. Also parking just two meters outside the bedroom window means noise and light disturbance throguht the night. Oh and there's a notice in the kitchen that they'll charge you $200 if you don't unpack the dishwasher. I understand not leaving dirty dishes, but most places are fine with you starting the dishwasher as you check out.Our stay was fine, but this place definitely does not deserve its4/5 rating and is overpriced for the level of quality they offer.
