We just had a wonderful dinner at the Sapphire and I wanted to let others know what a gem this spot is. Everything was absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. The service was relaxed and our server was just perfect. Reviews mention how this place is great for special occasions and I agree but we weren’t there on a special occasion- just a night out for dinner and boy did we pick the right spot. Try it- you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent Chef and service - wonderful meal for a special occasion - pricey but worth every penny. What a great experience - 70th birthday celebration. Chef Michelle's dinners always a treat - but this time she went all out to make this a special evening - the best Filet Mignon I ever tasted - artfully presented with the perfect wine pairing. Crown Mansion is easily the best place in Qualicum Beach; if you want to dress up for a classy venue and and dine with an upscale clientele.

The food, the service, and the atmosphere are the best in Qualicum Beach. This was the best meal I have had in this town ever. Top notch. Yes it’s the priciest restaurant in town but comparatively it is well worth it. I had the duck breast. It was cooked a perfect medium rare and nicely seasoned. My wife had the scallops and pasta. Totally fabulous! The scallops weren't overdone. They were nicely seared and plump and delicious. The fresh pasta was nicely seasoned and had a very nice mild heat.Dessert was a cheese cake with strawberry rhubarb compote and whip cream on the aide and a coconut tart with ice cream. Delicious. And the coffee was strong and beautiful.The mansion is beautiful and the grounds are gotgeous.If you want to go somewhere nice for a special occasion, this is the place.

Incredible food. I don't do much fine dining but this is about the best I've had. Very impressive. Nice vintage decor and comfortable. I highly recommend

Dinner at the Sapphire Room was the highlight of our dining experiences in many years. Our food was exquisite. Our dinner included Pecan Crusted Chèvre as an appetizer, Pan seared Digby Scallops, and Roasted Pacific Halibut Fillet. All were delicious with many subtle flavours beautifully presented. The service was excellent and friendly. This hidden gem is the restaurant associated with the Crown Mansion on Crescent Street, Qualicum Beach. The setting is from a couple of generations ago; wood panelled walls, antique dishes and silver all from long ago on display. We loved it. The only “but” is perhaps the setting may have only limited appeal to those of us who are 60 and older. Certainly the menu is top notch and reflects modern day chic cuisine.

Unlike Melanie Huang who seamed pretty uptight in her stupid comments, we do think Sapphire Room is the best restaurant in Qualicum Beach on a gastronomic standpoint. The maitre d'hotel is a true professional, courteous, knowledgeable, cautious. He's truely aware of clients' ease and comfort. The menu is very appealing so is the wine card: original, out-of-the-box, and so tasty. The chef and her team deserve our appraisal. The halibut filet was so well cooked. The salad was a festival of tastes, senses and ingredients. I'm sure European clients, particularly French and Italian would see no difference as courses were so delicious, creative and light. Even the dessert card was different from the traditional stuff people find at other restaurants. Maybe some cheeses should be added to the menu ? And with fish, Sapphire Room should add Chablis white wine as an additional option.Any how, applause to the whole team.We're French, that's probably why we love this restaurant and not all the others in town, that think serving huge greasy portions are enought to deserve 5 stars on Google Review !

Always consistently terrific food and presentation. Great chef who puts a lot of care into the dishes served! You simply must experience this place!
