Broom Hilda Cleaning Services

We have been working with Broom Hilda’s cleaning service for over a year now. We use them for a regular, bi-weekly cleaning service and have also used them to clean the windows in our house, inside and out! They are FABULOUS! Professional, reliable, and always accommodating when we have special or extra requests. The crew works fast but is thorough – the house is fresh and clean after they visit, and we trust them implicitly to work in the house when no one is home. Betsy, the owner, is a dream to work with, she is direct, always responsive, and on top of everything. She makes sure the crew is briefed before they arrive and is aware of any special needs we may have for that appointment. Many of the other cleaning companies we initially dealt with were either unresponsive or offered a sub-par service. Broom Hilda’s has been working in Ithaca for many years and it shows. We recommend them often, whether it be for a one-off job or a regular cleaning service!

I have worked with Broom Hilda Services for several years and in 2 houses. I've found the services to be a perfect balance between personal and the transactional, for hiring a crew. The crew is consistent, works efficiently/effectively, & responds easily to requests. The proprietor, Betsy is reliable and swift in scheduling and in communicating over any questions. I appreciate that the service can expand out to windows, gutters, & power washing, upon request. They cleaned up my house while I got it ready for listing (these photos are all from just after that cleaning job).I hope Betsy stays in business for a long time to come.

Was charged more money for hours her employees were not in homes cleaning. Houses weren't cleaned the greatest floors not cleaned properly, counters,stoves not wiped down, hair left in bathrooms, & Betsy mistreating and harassing her employees. Her firing a employee who was honest and returning a wallet with money in it to police she found on sidewalk outside & for giving money to customers when found while she was cleaning the homes.
