Animal Hospital Of Cambridge

I'm feeling incredibly disappointed in the lack of consistent information from this hospital. I called to find out if I could get an appointment for my senior dog. I went through all symptoms with the person on the phone and was told I could not pre-schedule and had to call back as their emergency appointments were all booked up. I was told it was best to call first thing in the morning. The next time I called, I was told something completely different. Apparently, my dog did not qualify for an emergency appointment and now I had to book ahead instead. Had I been told this the first time, I would have done so. Instead, I lost days. And on top of this, there seemed to be no empathy. Nor did Janine, who was speaking to me, seem to want to get to the root of the issue to resolve this and ensure this did not happen to anyone else. When you have a senior pet that is not feeling well, this is the last thing you want. If the basic procedures seem to be unclear to the staff working there, I can't even imagine how they handle their more complex, internal charts. Definitely not something that inspires confidence in a clinic. I promptly took my pet somewhere else. I guess this clinic has enough patients......

My King Shepherd Sadie loves coming to the Animal Hospital of Cambridge. The staff are incredibly friendly and do their best to make the vet a happy trip. From their quick and informative diagnosis to the genuine love they show your pet, they're the best at what they do. Unlike most vets, they also have your wallet in mind and don't push for unnecessary treatment unless it's absolutely necessary. Thanks a bunch for all you've done for Sadie so far!

We took our senior Shih Tzu, Yellow, here after developing an eye injury (our reg vet could not see us). It turned out to be an ulcer, developing into a melting ulcer. The staff were so kind, so helpful, so smart, and felt just like family. We all tried our best to save Yellows last remaining eye, even taking a referral to a specialist in Toronto. Despite our best efforts, the many vet visits, so many medications, Yellow eventually passed away.We have been dog owners for 20+ years, always had same vet, but Cambridge Animal Hospital provided such great care - we will never use another vet.Dr. Melissa, thank you for trying your best with Yellow and giving us a sense of hope, thanks for taking my extra calls & emails and taking your time with our son. Jessica, thanks for always letting me cry and vent to you, it meant a lot to me (and Yellow). I wish I could thank everyone there individually, but please know you are all incredible.We now have a new family member, a Shih Tzu named Kevin and hes incredibly happy with his new fam at the Animal Hospital of Cambridge <3

Emergency for our older feline Jenni...Dr Dawson was excellent in treatment and recommendations for Jenni's continued good health...hw has been Jenni's veterinarian for over 12 years

Amazing service. Took our cat in Sunday morning. The doctor took the time to explain issue but also nutrition choices and recommendations. Hopefully will never need again but if we do I'll gladly and confidently take my pet back

Both Sharon and I had two visits last Sunday and Monday. Unfortunately on Monday our golden retriever Connor was determined to be too sick to continue. We made the hard decision to say goodbye. A huge shoutout to the staff for making it a lot more bearable. I need to really give a big hug out to Dr Amy. She was thoughtful, kind, patient, perfect in the way she handled us and our dilemma. We were also very impressed with the quiet room and how we managed the last couple of hours with our great dog of over 12 years. Thanks to all. Brendan and Sharon

The level of service and care at this establishment is next level. I couldn't have asked for a better bunch of proffesionals to look after our cat Felix. Thanks again for doing God's work!

I had a great experience here last week bringing in my dog Sadie to see Dr. Amy for her check up and vaccines! The front staff and vet tech were all very friendly. Dr. Amy was great with Sadie and very knowledgeable and helpful. She even sent us a helpful email with extra info after our visit. Highly recommend bringing your pet here!

They are very good with all my.pets. Very compassionate, My fur babies feel safe there. They have also helped out because I have had a problem financially, they have given me a little extra time to settle my bill within reason.

They promote a positive bond with your pet. My pup is highly nervous about vet trips and they have always made sure that she has a positive association with the hospital. They encouraged me to make short drop-ins to get her more familiar with the facility and the vet techs.
