My Pom was sent to dean park vet for his teeth and he can’t wait to go see dr mctagget he. Runs to the door to see herI would send anyone there for any care but for dental for sure they have have a board certified dentist and the latest in technology the staff is great

This is the absolute best vet clinic around, and the only place I trust fully with my bunnies.The vets, especially Dr. Christina who has helped my family more often, are so kind and knowledgeable, and take a really collaborative approach to helping your pet, making decisions, and teaching you about their anatomy and medical concerns.The staff and Dr. Christina have also, several times, squeezed our bunnies in when they are sick (with bunnies, illness can turn fatal quite quickly) and are always so kind about doing so. Huge shout out to Angie at the front desk especially.Lastly, there is literally no one better for rabbit care than Dr. Christina. She is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the small ones, and the clinic is one of few that keeps rabbit-specific medications/the right forms of medications and critical care on hand.

I'm incredibly impressed by the professionalism and dedication demonstrated by the staff members at Dean Park Pet Hospital. My guinea pig, Portillo, required dental surgery because of an diseased tooth. Dr. McTaggart was thorough, supportive, and compassionate while explaining Portillo's current situation and next steps. I know there were other people who assisted in the surgery, and I'm so grateful that the people who worked on him genuinely cared for his health and wellbeing. I've had to call after hours and the pet hospital as other concerns have arose, and they have been responsive and helpful. Thank you all so much again!

I and my partner, Fiona B., have nothing but gratitude and praise for everyone at Dean Park Vet Hospital.From the warm and efficient welcome at the front desk (always on time and the reason for the appointment known) - to the expertise and care demonstrated by the vets - we cannot sing the praises for this veterinary practice loudly enough.Dr. McTaggart took precisely minutes to diagnose an ear issue in our stoic Frenchie, who had been seen numerous times by other vets who failed to pick up on this.As regards dental care for our beloved pooches, we would trust no other vet. How often have vets told me they “do” teeth, but when asked about their training they have only the few hours covered in their general vet training.Dr. McTaggart has specialized in, and teaches, canine dentistry in university vet programs. Her passion for all things to do with canine dentistry is something to behold!She uses a 3D X-ray machine (to the best of my knowledge the only one in Western Canada) that found an abscess that a visual examination or regular X-ray would not have picked up ).And how reassuring, and rare, to be given access to a vet around the clock post surgical procedure - not to mention frequent follow-up by the vets and the team at Dean Park Vet Hospital.Do such services come cheap? They do not. But when we factor into the equation what we have spent on other vets who missed the mark to the detriment of our dogs - we are ahead.We are not ones to write reviews - but in this instance, we felt that outstanding service should be recognized and applauded.

This is the best vet clinic I have ever visited in my life. The care and compassion that every single staff member showed me is next to none. They diagnosed and treated my dog in her final time. I literally cannot say enough good things about this clinic. Dr McTaggart is the best vet I have EVER met. She is so amazing! Smart, compassionate, professional and willing to go above and beyond. The staff she has cultivated are also all of these things. Every single vet and staff member I dealt with (which I think was all of them) was absolutely a delight. The helped me during some of the hardest moments of my life. I will never forget the kindness and understanding Dr McTaggart and her staff showed me. Thank you so much for everything that everyone at Dean Park did for me! I appreciate you all so much!

Dr. Sue McTaggart is amazing. We are so lucky to have someone with her level of knowledge about pet dentistry right here on the island! She is caring and thorough and sympathetic. I can not say enough good things about my experiences with Dr. Sue. She is considered an expert in her field and I am just so glad I chose to go straight to her.

I can not say enough good things about Dr McTaggart and this incredibly caring veterinary service. Covid has created a disturbingly frantic situation for all vets here and I recently went through an extremely upsetting time trying to find a vet to help my little dog who had an unexplainable medical condition and was suffering. No vets here were taking new clients and really didn't seem to care. I spent over $6000 at an emergency vet hospital with no positive results and they also were disinterested in any follow up. My own local vet brushed us off and no follow up. Despite being extremely busy Dr McTaggart and her team were genuinely concerned for my dog and took us in right away. I have never met a vet so caring and kind. Dr McTaggart has incredible knowledge and she deeply cares about her patients wellbeing. Her follow up was outstanding and she called even on her day off to see how my dog was doing! A shining star in an otherwise dark and difficult time. The staff there are super kind and pleasant, and the anticipated costs were fully disclosed to me and I signed off on them. Very professional service and well organized. I will always be extremely grateful and would recommend Dean Park Pet Hospital whole-heartedly.

Dental specialist was highly unprofessional and inappropriate. My dog is a small highly vocal dog, and the veterinarian could not control her temper. No regard for the comfort or safety of my pet. Very alarming experience—you couldn’t pay me to go back.
