Golf's Steak House & Seafood
Seafood so good my Newfoundlanders were thrilled! We had a fantastic dinner out to celebrate a birthday. Mariah our server was charming, efficient and fun. The food was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked. We had surf & turf platters and were really impressed. We will definitely be back, thanks to George for the great table overlooking the river and for a memorable night.

Mario was a great server. We had escargot to start, I had prime rib and my dining partner had New York strip loin. All was delicious. Food was prompt but didn’t feel rushed. We will be back.

This place is so great! It was our first time and it didn’t disappoint. The service was top notch. Our server, Melina, was very friendly, was very helpful and offered suggestions that just seemed to suit our likes. She was a 10+ and added to the whole experience. The food here is phenomenal. We had a nice bowl of soup with fresh, lightly toasted garlic baguette, followed by the calamari, followed by the salad bar. The salad bar was fresh and clean and scrumptious. We both had the extra cut prime rib and it was everything I would want in a supper. Perfectly prepared and served hot. To top everything off we shared a cherry cheesecake (on the house because of our anniversary). It was lovely. LOTS of food. We were stuffed and took home a “doggy bag”. GO HERE!

We dined here for a birthday dinner and it happened to be on senior's night so the restaurant was very busy. The atmosphere was nice for an older crowd but the building itself is quite old as well. If you want the atrium space overlooking the water, make sure to book ahead. Service was great despite that and the food was massive in portion sizing.The salad bar (included with the meal) had a less common item which was the chicken liver and I really enjoyed it.Seeing the photos of reviews beforehand, I was looking forward to the mashed potatoes and the prime rib. I ended up ordering the seafood platter and the warmed up butter was a pleasant surprise to the meal. Lobster, scallops, and shrimp were perfectly cooked.My only negative comment is that there was a lot of unnecessary salt on the vegetables (baby carrots) and the mashed potatoes. Less salt would improve the sides significantly.

I always have great experience with Golf’s Steakhouse and Seafood. It’s probably the best steakhouse in The Waterloo Region for decades. I love their free bread basket with butter and buffet-style salad bar. Their prices are very reasonable and valuable for the portions of food that you pay for. I will definitely go back again and again especially for the Sunday brunch.

Overall the food was good. The service was excellent. We had a reservation for 530 pm and were out of there at 720 pm. I felt rushed. There were 4 of us celebrating my birthday. Appetizers were still being enjoyed when the mains arrived. It's a good place if you are in a hurry. As an afterthought I was given a piece of cheesecake to take home.

HOLY SMOKES!! This legendary place survived the pandemic and returned to what it was like pre pandemic. I love this so much! This place has got to be the best restaurant from the past to the present. It’s been 3 years since I’ve been here.The food was absolutely amazing! The amount of choices were all good. The price I’m still in shock that it’s super reasonable. I forgot what a wonderful place this is. The only thing I’m going to complain about maybe I just care to much about wasting food since returning from a third world country. I get they don’t want you to take things home because it opens the door for people taking more than they should. I wanted to take a half eaten slice of pie home because I didn’t want to waste food it’s expensive and that good girl mind reminds me of what I saw on my adventure but I get it. I am allowed to be disappointed. Does it make me not want to go back absolutely not. I will be back there in the future.Food tasted great was all hot!Salad bar had amazing choicesDesserts oh!! I love me some sugar treats the apple crisp was so good!!!Bread who doesn’t love lots of choicesEveryone was super friendly and so helpful.Julia you’re a very sweet person!!! I hope to see you again. Your service went beyond my expectations from what I’ve experienced lately. Thank you!!!
