Elevated Learning Academy - Calgary

Took the personal trainer course and it was easily the best educational experience I've had by far. The instructors are unreal and just a fountain of knowledge. I would do it all over again if I could. If you're considering your options for any certifications they offer just pick ELA, you wont be disappointed.

I signed up for the program and the teacher is exceptional and very knowledgable… however I have been dealing with lots of things at once - sick baby most of the time and getting a cold every other week and the lack of understanding and communication from Carey Ogilvie when I have several times express and told her about this and I also emailed her asking to call me and she never called… I asked if I could maybe stop and continue after but she said I have to withdraw or keep going to school and fail…. This people are not very helpful for student that are maybe struggling….. I guess I am supposed to leave my sick baby and get to class sick as well …..

Elevated Learning Academy was one of the best post secondary education institutions I've ever attended. The instructors are friendly and a great resource to draw knowledge from. Course material is well paced and very indepth for the time frame it is presented in.The facility has recently changed locations, but from my previous experience, it was a great learning environment that caters to a more personalized experience; rather than large lecture halls.Thanks to ELA having a great reputation with the industry's best, I was able to network and have found my career!

I am а current student at Calgary ELA and enjoying every day of it!I have always been well read, and honestly speaking, did not expect this amount of new and highly useful information.Our instructors are also absolutely great: very friendly, enthusiastic, approachable, and helpful. For sure, they have plenty of practical knowledge on the courses they teach. Especially, I like our lead instructor, Rachel. I am sure we are very lucky to have her in our class. I was enrolled (and completed) the personal fitness trainer program. It's also worth noting that I'm a massage therapist, with a strong knowledge of muscles and their movement, and I still found this program challenging. But it's also worth it.The instructors genuinely want to see people succeed, both in the program and out in the real world, and although the course requires you to be quite self-driven, they will provide you with the resources and assistance where able to ensure you succeed.I would also like to point out, ensure you can structure a healthy work/school/life balance before enrolling. It'll help a lot. :)

I cannot recommend working with ELA enough! I spoke to one of their classes and received a warm welcome, great questions, and lots of interest for a practicum. I was impressed with their level of professionalism but also real" nature and honesty around the personal training industry.From the class

After much research I came across Elevated Learning Academy. I decided to enroll in the Personal Fitness Teainer Diploma program and I am so glad I did. The instructors, Leah and Daniel were extremely knowledgeable and prepared me for the industry I was entering into. I would recommend anyone interested in becoming certified to check them out. You get the practical work along with the textbook work!

Extremely unprofessional. I had issues with receiving my student loans and reached out immediately to let them know I would not longer be able to attend the semester. At first the staff was helpful and allegedly they reached out to the same people I was speaking with and didn't see any issue. So I called the loan office again to figure out where we miscommunicated. This was met with the original information I was given that I would in fact NOT be able to pay for my schooling. So I reached back out to the school and said that this was all very concerning and could they please verify who here is correct because I'm more inclined to believe two government sources over a school that doesn't seem to be doing their due diligence. I was quickly dismissed and told to wait for my disbursementNeedless to say I did not receive my student aid and was refused my deposit. I understand that the government systems we have in place are occasionally confusing to navigate. However I felt extremely overlooked and disappointed that even though I advocated for myself in all the correct ways I was not helped. If you need assistance from the administration at this school I advise you to be very assertive.

If I could give zero stars, I would! I requested a copy of my transcripts having attended this school years ago. Upon receiving them there was a giant mistake on my practicum, which instead of reflecting the 100% I earned there was a zero. I tried to contact the school for over 10 days to no avail. I finally received a response from the school letting me know that that was the grade I deserved. I have been in contact with both of my teachers who have said that they did not give me a zero however, the school still stands by the grade. I have in writing that they did not keep track of our records which they are by law required to do. If you want to ensure that your transcripts are safe for years to come, do not attend this school!! On top of the fact that the price is significant considering what you learn and there is no guarantee that your grades will be safe. I now have to proceed with a lawyer. Save your money!

I just finished and graduated in Diploma for Personal Fitness Trainer. I have learned so much and my brain got full knowledge from the best instructors in school. Crystal, Jarred and Leah are really the best! They have established credibility in their knowledge and they really care about the students. The excellence in their teaching styles have different strokes but have the same goal, and that is the CARE to share their knowledge to us and make us to become the excellent fitness professional.For those who are still thinking about starting a fitness career, this school is my HIGHLY recommended for your guys. Your tuition fee is all worth it. You will not be disappointed and you will finish this school with a smile in your heart and full of knowledge in your brain and you will become successful!
