Holiday Inn & Suites Surrey East - Cloverdale, an IHG Hotel

i had a horrific experience in this hotel. i was with my gf in our room comfortably on our bed when suddenly the door opened and another guest entered thinking this was her room. the front desk staff had issues her our room! this was so shocking and it left us uneasy the rest of the stay, any sound we think someone is coming in again. the manager called to apologize, he asked how he can compensate and I said I didn’t want to talk about it then because I was still in shock from the experience.the manager or who ever was in charge that night, then offered us dinner to make us feel better, I accepted and when I went to talk to him the next morning about a compensation he said that dinner was compensation enough and when I said that was not acceptable he then offered a discount rate for future stays.I’ve never had such a horrible experience and lack of response there after. i filed a complaint on the corporate feedback email they send you after you stay and selected to be contacted by the hotel management but it’s been over a month and I haven’t heard anything. totally unprofessional and negligent. we are currently waiting for legal advice.
