Just went to the 4pm show. Towards the end of the show, the presenter, I think his name was Devon, asked if there were any questions. Up to this point, he was awesome with the children. I asked about the picture the Hubble Space telescope took a few years back that showed stars that previously had not been seen. I very clearly said Hubble telescope, and previously unseen stars. However, I mis-spoke and said that I thought they were in a black hole. I was asking if they had the pictures. Instead of clarifying my question, Devon latched onto my use of black hole and shut me down. Then went on to present the picture I was asking about. I’m sorry if I almost ruined your big finish Devon, but you really should not work with the public if you can’t handle someone asking a question that might burst the bubble on your big finish. Not likely to go back if he’s the presenter again.

We organized an outing with our cub scout pack. 32 kids! The presentation was fantastic and age appropriate. The presentor was awesome and encouraged the kids to ask questions and spent time explaining things to them. I recommend going it's a cool experience for all ages especially curious minds!

Very difficult to find... was unable to attend the show because first the parking is a 6 min walk from the building...which is not a big deal except Google maps takes you to an entirely different location... so when we would have been there 10 mins early I spent that time searching for the parking lot... when we got there finally and late the room location was also not cleary posted and did not include arrows to help better direct... when we finally arrived at the show we were 3 mins late but as per the email they would not be letting us in due to the nature of the show... they want people to attend the show however do not make it easy enough to find parking...( it should be included in the emails they send)...location of the room... and you need to pay for parking... in addition to that they do not accept debit or credit which is unbelievable in this day and age and especially as the world is continuing to recover from the pandemic... you would think if they are requesting you to wear masks in the show due to the close quarters they would not want to be accepting cash as it has been proven to be extremely dirty and could potentially transmit viruses... all in all I am disappointed and irritated that a University filled with some of the most intelligent people are unable to find a better solution to help people attend their function... I can see that there is a drawn out map on the website and yes I am partly to blame as my mother had booked this for us and I had not been aware it would have been so difficult to locate the building... hence why the directions and drawn out map should be included in the email and not listed as a link... either way... I paid $8 ( which in itself is ridiculous as I believe I was there less than 30 mins and as I come from a single income home $8 is a large amount for me) for the frustration of not being able to find parking... walking 6 minutes and then having to come to terms that we wouldn't be able to attend the show... I can see from other reviews that people have had the same issue... as somebody who also works with individuals of the community there should be a group of employees from different departments that meet regularly to review process and policies in order to provide customers, employees, students, and patients with better experiences... please implement something that will allow future families be able to attend and enjoy this service you are offering

My mom and kids tried getting to the Planetarium, something she reserved over 3 weeks ago.Using Gooogle mals she tried to get there but the address didnt seem to be where it was. Worse part of all is that no one on campus could tell her how to get or where it was, in fact didnt even know about the existance of the planetarium. There should be signs or at least detailed directions on how to get there.A shame really.

I was very much looking forward to this however the instructor did not seem confident and due to his thick accent and mask very few people could understand what was being said...im sure he knew what he was talking about just didn't seem like it....a good portion of the people left well before it was over for what I can only assume was the same reason

Great show. Very knowledgeable PhD student presenter. I learned a lot but my six-year-old just wanted to see our solar system, planets and moons (which he knows a lot about as far as kids go). He actually cried in disappointment at the end because my buildup didn't live up to it. Maybe a session on just our solar system, planets and moons would be beneficial. Just relaying the disappointment of a six year old for what it's worth.

Hamilton's best kept secret. Date night, by yourself, with some friends or with your kids: it's a fun, interesting and informative experience. Keep up the good work!

I've attended shows at the planetarium off and on since about 2005. It is a small venue and very comfortable. The presenters are usually Ph.D. students who are knowledgeable about Astronomy and Astrophysics and to their best to accommodate questions.Be sure to check the calendar to know what topic is being covered, and if possible make a reservation! Although walk ups are usually available, it is a small venue. The shows are a bit less than an hour, I've attended with my children aged 5+ and the length is just about right, any younger or any longer they might have a hard time sitting still which can be disruptive for everyone.
