Don’t let the nondescript and humble outside appearance of this restaurant fool you as they serve the most delicious Chinese food in Calgary.I have been coming here for over 20 years now andI have yet to be disappointed.The servings are generous and pricing very reasonable but most of all, the food is just that good! I don’t know how else to describe the food here but I just love this place so much. The service has always been very welcoming and so personal even though the lone server is always busy tending to the customers and answering the phone at the same time.The last time we dined in, we had our usual must-eats: the stinky and pungent and putrid but oh sooooo good Dried Fish and Chicken Fried Rice, our favourite Crispy Cantonese Seafood and Meat Chow Mien, the ever- present-every-time-we-eat-here nuclear Spicy Steamed Chicken and to change it up a little, we ordered something new - Salt and Pepper Pork Ribs. It was good but I like the Salt and Pepper Pork Chops better.My other favourites are: Salt and Pepper Squid or Salt and Pepper Seafood, Singapore Noodles, Fried Rice Noodles in Chef Special Sauce, Satay Beef Shanghai Noodles, Fried Tofu in Chef Special Sauce, Ginger Beef and the Special Fried Rice. They have the best fried rice in town for sure - smoky and so flavourful.When you’re dining in or ordering for a few people, always request the family size version of their dishes for a few dollars more.I cannot wait to dine in once again as I am missing this place so much!

Chicken chow mein had a gross flavor. The chicken was also bland. Like steamed chicken. No variety to the flavors. The noodles were half dry half drenched in gross sauce. The egg rolls weren’t great either. The cabbage was too pungent and neon green.

Fast, authentic, delicious! Fat Kee is so underrated in Chinese food scene in the city. I think it’s one of the best Chinese resto outside Chinatown. The place get packed real quick during lunch hours. And there is only ONE staff who takes orders and bring food to the table! Now that deserves a big tip! The service was fast! We got our meals 5mins after we ordered! Their Tossed Noodles in Beef, Ginger and Onion tasted amazing. I love the texture of their thin noodles, and the delicious taste of oyster and soy sauce. Their shrimp wonton noodle soup was delicious too! Not bland or too salty. I’d definitely coming back to try their other dishes.

As soon as we landed, we drove directly from the airport to this restaurant excited for warm, comfort food. Fast, delicious authentic Chinese food. They delivered! One cook, one server, 3 yummy dishes. Fried rice noodles with beef was the bomb. Porridge was so soft and yummy. Noodles in soup with shrimp wonton was the best I've had for a long time!! And the server lady was very kind. Wonderful experience. Thank you so much!!

Zero pretentious overblown decorations in the seating area, closer to a school cafeteria. I love it. They're here to give you good food and not wasting time on anything else.That said, it's very neat and clean, tables have everything neatly arranged and waiting for you, and a hot pot of tea arrives as soon as you sit down.I chickened out and just had the brisket noodle soup with extra noodles. It is simple and unpretentious, but it tastes wonderful, filled me up, and was so very comforting after a week of smashing through snowstorms, it nearly had me in tears.I've had far worse meals for twice the price in other places in town.I will absolutely be coming back the next time I'm in town.

I was very excited to try this placed based off the reviews and was sadly very disappointed.Cantonese chow had I think the crispy bagged noodles just tossed in, little to no sauce, pork had a funk to it and no sauceSGinger beef was ok.Beef fried wide noodle was ok lacking in much flavourBBQ pork fried rice was the best.

Large food portion and reasonable prices. This is my comfort food as I come here once a while since 90’s. Although Owner changed, i can still feel their traditional HK style food.

Was in the mood for noodles and after reading reviews, I’m really glad I stopped in. The noodles were hot, fresh and a very generous portion size. The flavours were good and all the meats and veggies were cooked perfectly. The service is really fast and friendly too which is always a bonus. It’s not a fancy restaurant (think banquet chairs and cafeteria type tables) but the food is excellent and that’s all that matters. This will be my new go to when I’m craving noodles for lunch.

Traditional street food / fast food . even there is only 1 server most of the time, but she is amazing at multitasking. being attentive to all customer and still have all food serve in a timely manner.
