Besides the higher price, why on earth ask for tips?Went in for two packs of beer, while paying the cashier ask me to key in the percentage for tips.Educate me, please.What I understand is that, when someone provides a service on something you buy(like dinner), you pay for the thing and tip the provider base on their performance.If you didn’t provide a service, you shouldn’t be asking. That’s why tipping is not even an option in grocery stores, superstore, Walmart, and BC Liquor.

The staff are always helpful and friendly and it’s overall good atmosphere but I can’t help but be baffled at the fact that they always turn the card machine to me and it’s asking how much of a tip I want to give them.Sorry, but I will not tip and nobody else should either. All you did was ring me up. No more, no less. It is not my job to substitute your wages.What this translates to is that I only go to this store when others are not an option, AKA your business makes less money.It’s not personal to the cashiers - not at all. They’re good people. It’s personal to the business owner/management.I have a suggestion that would avoid the tipping situation:PAY YOUR EMPLOYEES A LIVING WAGE.Shocking, right? If someone wants to reach out to me with a contact number to the appropriate person, I’ll happily tell them directly to pay you guys properly.The the people working here, you should band together and demand better. Heck, go ahead and start a union. It’s getting trendy again.

I come in to buy stuff often. I never tip them but they're still always very helpful and friendly. I tipped them a dollar once because I spilled coffee on the floor by accident. Staff are great. Lots of interesting selections for alcoholic beverages. Wide variety of premium choices that can make for a fun night (or day). Craft beer and singles are a bit overpriced.

This is our go to liquor store because of their wide selection of craft beers. They have a cold fridge with craft beers and wine. All the staff are super nice and friendly. I asked them for Suggestions a few times and they have been very helpful and knowledgeable.

Good spot and reps but the tip option is a major turn off. I want to see less of that not more. Reflects badly on management, on the business as a whole, and makes me want to shop there less. Besides if I was to give a tip I'd give cash so the business can't take their cut. Losers.

My first choice for liquor stores in town. Very fun, friendly, and knowledgeable staff, and a great selection of beers from local breweries. I've discovered some of my favourite beers because of the samples they sometimes give, and those staff have always done an excellent job. A hidden gem.

Best selection in the White Rock/South Surrey area. They often add new, interesting products from local sources.I get great recommendations from various staff members and usually end up with something delicious to drink and a bonus good conversation learning a thing or two about local products that they stock. This is a way more valuable consumer experience than other liquor retailers in the area and I happily tip because of this.
