Great location. Beautiful view of Grand Bank, they also sell local artwork. Restaurant was clean & food was prepared to order with not a long wait time. My wife had the clubhouse & i had the fried chicken with Fries, dressing & gravy. We shared and each meal was fantastic! Finished off with an in-house made dessert & will certainly be returning for another feed.

July 2022. Intended to book a room here. Mid afternoon and the place was locked up. Numerous contact phone numbers on the door. Finally got hold of someone after 30 minutes.Declined a room because of dirt. Particularly a now black very very sticky carpet from reception and long corridor leading to all the rooms. Never seen anything so bad in a motel.

Motel was immaculate, very clean. Staff were amazing and very friendly. The food in the restaurant was also amazing! Overall a very pleasant experience, definitely would stay there again.

We came as a big group and ate a variety of things on the menu. The staff were lovely and the food was traditional deep fried fare. We did not stay in the motel itself. The picture is of the potluck which is a crazy mixture of all kinds of different dishes.

Comfortable, clean room and very friendly and helpful staff. A little unusual in that the front desk closes for the night and were still closed when we left in the morning. This wasn’t a problem at all and we just left our key on the desk without issue. The restaurant has delicious food and although not inexpensive is worth the money. We stayed one night to catch the ferry to St. Pierre which was just a few minutes drive away and would definitely stay there again if/when we return to the area. I would bring a night mask though since a blinking light on the smoke detector was a little too distracting as I slept (but I am a terribly light sleeper and this would bother me more than most).

Stopped for some supper here as it was recommended by a couple girls in fortune. The only good things about the two piece cod meal that I ordered was that the fish was hot and the chips were good. The batter on the fish was caked on and flavourless. Like it had been dipped in bread dough. My boyfriend's pan fried cod was cold. It took forever to get our food. There wasn't really anyone at all in the dining room to make sure guests were attended to. I had to KNOCK on the kitchen door to get someone to come out so I could tell them I hadn't gotten the gravy I had ordered. All in all, this was not a good experience and I do not recommend this place for an authentic Newfoundland supper.

Asked for room with two beds. Was assured I would get one with a single and double. Checked in room had 1 bed. Change not available. They set up a cot, directly under the TV and against the dresser, so that it could not be used. Ordered roast chicken, masked potatoes and vegetables - got fried chicken, no vegetables. Whole place appeared to be run by teenagers who had no knowledge of the area or their own menu and services. Very disappointing experience. Would not return or recommend.

This is a very clean and well located road side Motel with a comfy bed. Friendly staff in both the motel and restaurant. Room prices are a value and the restaurant food is above average which is evident by how busy they can be, I recommend calling ahead to check on both availability and hours of operation.

This place is ridiculously good! This weird Burin tradition of ‘pot luck ‘ dinner includes roast beef, fried chicken, sweet and sour chicken balls, honey garlic spare ribs, fried rice, fries and gravy is delish! All of it is home made and very tasty. Fish cakes may be perfect. I’m pleasantly surprised.
