Came to Ann Arbor from Ohio for the weekend with my boyfriend. The sausage and peppers I ate while there were absolutely amazing. I'd eat here everyday if I could. I'll most definitely return if in the area.

If I may; this is probably one of the best German restaurants in the area. The service was good and the decor was fitting. I absolutely loved the pretzel fondue appetizer, it was one of the best soft pretzels I have had yet, the cheese that came with it was a bit thin, but still tasty itself. The dish I had was plentiful - I am glad they did not shy away from the helpings, making it feel more homely culturally. I take a star away, however, even though the service was nice, it took a while for our waiter to wait on us - even though there were barely any people there, we were there for a long time.

Heidelberg Restaurant & Bar
I had to stop in here since I am a graduate of Heidelberg University in Tiffin Ohio. We had a drink. The decor is so cool. They have three levels. The upstairs is available for private parties, the main floor is the restaurant, and the lower level is a cool bar vibe. There's a bar in the main restaurant as well. I'll being back to eat soon. The menu looked great.

I just had a beer there, so I don't know how the food is.But compared to the other bars / restaurants in the town, this place was super empty.I would say it's dead.I liked the German beer, but the price was insane.

You have three atmospheres to choose from and you're bound to find an area that fits your vibe!! Foods delicious, comes fast, and the workers are always chill! Come swing by Wednesdays or Fridays for awesome events!!

Pretty disappointing experience. I don’t go out much these days, but after that experience, I won’t be going back and won’t be recommending the Heidelberg. The food was okay, for the price it was nothing special. The service was somewhat slow, which was odd considering how empty it was in there, but there were a few key things really ruined the experience for me:1) if you go, ask for beer prices beforehand, because the draft list doesn’t have any prices listed and I was shocked to find out I had just spent $9 on an okay pint, nothing worth $9 in my mind, and I only found out when we received the bill.2) for a German food place, they have only two mustards, Heinz and housemade honey mustard, which is a mediocre selection when it comes to German sausage. I also requested a side of pickles to go with the sausage, I was told it’s not a typical request and that they’d have to charge me like $1, and again I was shocked to see that the tiny cup of sliced pickles actually cost us $3 when we received the bill. That was dishonest and an absurd price for some pickles. German sausage with pickles and mustard is a classic, ruined by this reckless charge and mistaken information from the server.3) I overheard employees talking ill about customers that had just left pretty loudly, loud enough for me to hear halfway across the restaurant. I will not offer patronage to an establishment where workers talk about customers in front of other customers. I get service workers like to talk, but that’s just super unprofessional.Overall I was fine with the food and beer until I got the bill, which totally ruined the experience because of the shocking hidden prices. Now I know next time I see an improved draft list to ask beforehand. Same about the pickles. What a ripoff.

New owner, terrible food now. Also, they try to steal from customers by claiming you stole" glassware? I've never heard of a bar unable to keep track of their glasses and so ROUTINELY TRY TO SCAM CUSTOMERS INTO PAYING $50 for a "lost glass"LOL"

Loved the atmosphere, food was delicious as well! Service was slow, they should work on that. They also tried to steal money from me! I had an $84 bill including tip and was charged $100 from them on my card!! What place does that??? NOT OKAY

I'm highly sad to what happened to this place. The German dishes almost disappeared, the beer is not well presented and the food is served in an bambu steamer. The food is ok but not nearly as good as from the old menu.My previous review and experience:Love it. The food is pretty good. Must try the German plates.They have German beer on draft!!Highly recommended

Real Veal Schnitzel, even hard to find in Germany these days, awesome Spaetzle. Can't wait to go back and explore other things on the menu. Great beer selection. Ratskeller in the basement, concert venue on the third floor.
