Barrhead Neighbourhood Inn

Wifi is terrible. Rooms are dirty and housekeeping does a terrible job..you are lucky if they make your bed. Shower is dirty and has hair from the last person who stayed here as well as old soap buildup on the shelves. Gross. Do not stay here if you have another option.Spoke with the manager about it and only a very slight improvement in cleaning... gross

It's an older place but clean. Couldn't give the room full stars as it had a musty smell, most likely from being closed and not aired for a while. The hotel staff were helpful. The restaurant food was excellent and the staff very friendly. The complimentary breakfast was a full breakfast. Overall our stay was good.

What an absolutely fantastic local Inn! Not only were the rooms super clean and comfortable, but the staff were super friendly and accommadating! Sure there might be a few older touches, but the quality of this hotel is superb! Delicious food, beautiful outdoor area in the middle of the Inn, and so much parking! You really can't go wrong when you stay here. If you want to experience Barrhead the right way, stay at the Neighbourhood Inn!

Do yourself a favour & Do not stay here, stay at the nicer newer hotel in Barrhead, if they are booked, then make the drive to westlock… we had to come here for a medical appt at the hospital.This place is old, not updated & just dirty… From the carpets, to the bed linens and pillows, yellow and visibly stained with Gods knows what, it’s quite gross. All you have to do is lift the top sheet partly to see the state of what’s underneath…Our thermostat also didn’t work at all, room was cold. It just made a loud clicking sound from the heating unit along the wall. My partner went to the front desk to mention it to the young girl working the night shift- she couldn’t care less, she was on her phone & had one word answers… wasn’t helpful at all besides offering a space heater from the back that DIDN'T WORK EITHER. We slept on top of the beds fully clothed and without heat because the state of that place made my skin crawl. Luckily in the morning we had a different clerk at the front, this woman was understanding and helpful when we explained the terrible experience we had there and offered us a full refund.

I've lived in Barrhead all my life and this place has gone through many changes over the years. They've had great food at times then food that was poor. The rooms are terrible and need to be fully renovated. The customer service at the front desk is fair at best. The bar is good from what I've seen. You're better off going to West of the 5th or the Dallas or Lotus.

I was part of a group of 8 people who went to Barrhead this past weekend for a wedding. Most of us from Edmonton and others from Calgary. We had all booked the rooms a week in advance, but when we got to the hotel they had no record of anybody booking and they had no rooms ready. Not only that, the service lady at the front desk was extremely rude to all of us and was making it our problem that they didn't have rooms ready, even though we were on time for check-in. We all did eventually get our room situation sorted out which almost made us late for the ceremony. The rooms themselves were awful. Dirty, musty and clearly bare minimum cleaning put into them. On our way out the next morning, we had breakfast at the dinner, which was actually really good, but we were told by our server we should have been given a breakfast card. When we asked the front desk lady again, instant attitude. If you've read this far, it goes without saying, DO NOT STAY HERE!

The rooms smelled like mildew and the cleaning staff that supposed clean your room but they never due. I even found a rolled up used piece of tissue under my blanket were they actually expected me to sleep. I had told the front desk they didn't even try to reclean my room until the next morning. I ended up just sleeping in my car. The best thing is bar and the bartenders are really wonderful people to drink around.
