Value Village

Great stuff. Great prices. But service has gone to bad since the self scans came in. I was running through a $250 order (we're talking 40+ items), and there's two cashiers standing behind me complaining about their new co-workers. It's self scans, so I'm scanning everything through myself. Again, 40+ items, but whatever; that's our world now. But the customer now also has to remove all hangers and hooks themselves. Okay, again. Not the end of the world. Just a huuuge use of time. But now the customer also has to go hang up all their hangers and hooks on a separate rack. So I'm doing this, taking three times as long as I've ever taken on a self-scan order, and as I put a difficult handful of hangers on the rack, one of the cashiers comes over, removes them all - still gossiping over my head, and puts them on a second rack for them to deal with later. Ummmm...thanks for the help, I guess...? Is there anything else you two could be doing with your time? Like maybe removing and stacking the hangers yourselves so they DON'T have to be moved by you a second later...? I mean, you're not scanning, you're not helping customers, you're not folding...you're just standing there complaining until there's a hanger to move from one rack to another... What job description is that?

The worst thrift shop, I needed a veggie steamer and they charged 18 dollars for a old rusty one. So I looked at the dresses and they charged 17 dollars for a ripped used dress. I could buy new items for these used ones. Do not go, everything is overpriced and very old. I honestly don't think this place deserves a star

Very interesting things found here at a good price. Staff is friendly, just don’t come 20 min before closing they get frustrated.

You truly never know what you will find here. Thrift shopping isn't a part of my culture as it typically has a negative connotation but I was glad when my mom introduced me to it as I visited Edmonton.This location has changed a bit since my first visit in 2018 with my recent being June 2023 but the overall esthetic remains the same.There seems to always be a good crowd and persons from all spheres are here! I love that there is organization to the perceived madness and everything has a section.You will find perfectly new items, those that are missing pieces, those that look battered but there's something there truly for everyone...from your housewares to books to clothing to games.I can't wait to see what may be available my next visit.... anddd don't forget, there's a donation section right at the back of the outside of the building-- donate!!

I do recommend this place! I haven't been at this location for years. I was in the area and had my donation box with me. So, I went in and dropped the box. The guy that works there gave me the coupon for my next purchase. I used it to for couple of flower pots.

What's new aside from the inventory every week. Well they have self checkout now. This is good for some and not for others. There's plenty of parking here but it's a bit tight.

I've been to more organized Value Villages, but there's something about this one that I like. Some of the staff is really amazing.Decent variety of an ever-changing stock.

Oh my goodness this place was HUGE!! If you go make sure you give yourself lots of time because there are so many things to look at here! Staff was friendly, they have a drive through donation area in the parking lot. Which is easy to get to with lots of spots for parking. Great selection and reasonable prices! A must for the thrifty shopper ☺️

If I could, I would give this place a negative 3 stars. Overpriced for second-hand items that they get for free. Overpriced clothing and even the baby stuff are overpriced. I thought this was supposed to be a thrift store!! Most of the clothing brands they sell for more or the same price as you'd pay if they were brand new. You might as well go buy brand new for what they're charging. Goodwill is much better
