Girgenti Custom Window Treatments

I ordered a pair of custom designed curtains and blinds a while ago and the service and design of this place is atrocious. I don't think that I am expecting too much when I am paying nearly two grand for window treatments for a small apartment. But let's start at the beginning shall we?First of all, the curtains were delivered two months LATE. They were ordered a couple of months before the move in date and when we showed up on move in date, there were no curtains in sight, just the blinds. They sent us a letter saying that they were sorry about the delay and that because of the lengthy wait, they were going to also deliver a nice bedspread along with the curtains when they came in to install the curtains. Once the curtains did show up after a long wait, what I saw was absolutely horrifying. Oh and also they arrived with a note saying that there was no bedspread ... it would be delivered, oh you guessed it ... LATE.But back to the curtain fiasco. Anna Cummings had designed one FIXED panel on the side of my main living room window, which covers half the light coming in and cannot even be gathered because the whole panel is fixed. The rod that she used to hold the curtain in place on the side was flimsy and not even attached to the wall!When I called to talk to her about it she told me that is what we had ordered and there was nothing she could do but make alterations. I asked her to come to my home to see the mess she had left on the window. She showed up late, said she thought the windows were 'beautiful' (honestly how is this woman a designer) cussed out my mother, then stormed out yelling about how she had the credit card information and was going to charge the whole fee anyways. When my mother asked her to have them remove the window dressings she said if the curtains are going so are the blinds." At this point the blinds had already been paid for months in advance.She was so unprofessional and rude. She charged the credit card without ever sending a receipt or telling us she was going to. She never sent the bedspread and she never sent anyone to take the curtains down. So basically I got charged two thousand dollars for half a panel of fabric held to the wall by a plastic rod fixed to the wall. And another set of unfinished curtains.This place is utterly horrible and I never ever write reviews unless they are great but this time I just had to because everyone should be warned before they hand over any kind of credit card information to these people. We are in the process of taking legal action but I just wanted everyone to be aware of this place and to not do business of any kind with these people."

If you want to experience customer service the way it truly should be, this is the place to come. Beautiful shutters, excellent people to deal with in every way. Highly recommend.

I had the unfortunate experience of having custom made shutters installed by Girgenti Window Treatments. Instead of creating three shutter panels across my large bedroom window, they installed one single shutter panel and the other two shutter panels were hinged together, so did not operate independently. To clean or open my window for ventilation, I had to open this large heavy two-panel contraption. I also had a shutter installed on my entrance door. The Girgenti installer appeared to be inexperienced as they made an absolute mess of the finishing caulking that was applied after installation. I will not be using Girgenti again.

I engaged Girgenti Custom Window Treatments to install electric and manual blinds in my house. Seven windows had electric blinds installed. My double door exit to the Master balcony, which has two full window inserts, had manual blinds installed over the inserts. Two other windows in the house had manual blinds installed as well.Engaging any home improvement company during the Covid crisis was challenging at best. Stefano answered my call and within 48 hours he measured all windows, provided me with alternative fabrics, colors and housing options. Stefano also demonstrated incredible kindness as I am legally blind. He was patient with me. He also went out of his way to visit me a few days later to drop off samples. This was way over and above what I was expecting from him.Additionally, Stefano was fully masked and wore gloves. He showed tremendous respect for me by doing this.Upon installation Stefano and Giovanni arrived to perform the work. Giovanni was again extremely careful about wearing a mask to ensure “I” was being protected. The courtesy alone shown by these men would have lead me to recommend this company alone. However, the product quality, installation precision and software application etc etc. put the icing on the cake.I also looked at other window treatment companies for quotes. Not one came close to providing the value which I received from Girgenti.Thank you Stefano and Giovanni for your incredible service!
