Wonderful place with keen people involved. Get your nerd on and learn something. Be careful driving and watch for wildlife. We saw 3 or 4 deer get hit on our way and hobble off I to the ditch with broken legs...broke our hearts. Drive carefully at night.

Must See! Spend a beautiful evening under the stars! Get out of the city and see the sky light up. We had a great time learning about our system and everyone who worked there were very friendly. Make sure you don’t bring flashlights as they won’t let you use them. They light pathway with res lights so you can still see where you are going.

We went as part of a Scouts field trip for my 6 year old son.We listened to a short talk and made a craft. Then we looked at the sun through a telescope with a special filter which was so cool!

Rothney Astrophysical Observatory
I didn't know what to expect but I'm so happy I went! We all got to explore the grounds and see the telescopes for the first 30 min and then there were great lectures in the lecture hall. It was so informative and all of the volunteers were incredibly warm, knowledgeable and shared their knowledge. The snacks were a great touch! I plan to go back again!

Very cool place to go and learn about stars and constellations. During the open houses they have lots of telescopes to look through and lots of educational programs. Fantastic view of the mountains as well.
