I replaced my staircase recently but my carpenter offered limited spindle options and was pushing me to choose iron or very basic generic options. I wanted something more unique. After some research, I was fortunate enough to find A&D Woodturning! They have a varied selection of different styles and heights and the spindles were extremely well priced. Daniel was so helpful throughout this process and I picked them up a short while later.However, when the carpenter installed the spindles, we discovered that due to the gradient of the stairs, I needed a longer length base on the spindles for the upper portion of the staircase in order to keep the 45 degree angle. The carpenter had not anticipated this.I am so glad that I had selected A&D Woodturning as Daniel was able to then make a dozen custom spindles at short notice. Daniel went above and beyond and made two extra spindles at no additional charge in case the carpenter made any mistake in installation! How thoughtful and generous of him to do this for me. I have been very impressed by the service, quality and value of A&D Woodturning and would highly recommend them. I found A & D Woodturning on the internet while I was looking for spindles to replace 2 that had broken in my staircase. I thought I found the right ones, ordered them and realized they didn't match. I called A & D and Daniel custom made 2 spindles and shipped them to me the next day. You simply don't get better service anywhere in the world than that.
