My spicy peanut was missing cilantro, green onions and peanut. The sprouts smelt and tasted off plus my lime was brown. The woman working the front counter was very rude when I called and went in to pick up she didn't ask my name or number. I haven't ate here in years and not sure if I'll be going back anytime soon.

Went in to order food on a few occasions where they didn't have the ingredients. First time thought it was odd. After that it seems like poor planning. When they have the ingredients the food is very good.

I have ordered the Chow Mein with pork here a number of times. On my way from Nanaimo to Victoria l would phone in prior to my arrival and they would have my food ready. Nice people at the counter, perfectly cooked food. Love it!

I want this place to be better than it is. It’s a steady reliable noodle spot with a decent menu. I’ve eaten at them at a number of their other locations but just don’t think I can again. The noodle to ingredient portion is just too off the mark. I get the challenge of balancing expensive ingredients with lower cost noodles but this last visit was way too much noodles and hardly enough protein and ingredients. Death by a thousand noodles. Kids noodle dish was 98% noodles with some chicken and greens. Won’t be going again unfortunately. We left without finishing our lunch.

My boyfriend called at 6:35 pm on a Saturday to order two noodle dishes for pickup. The lady who we spoke with on the floor immediately mentioned they ran out of rice, and they were closing in 20 minutes. I mentioned we were hoping to order two noodle bowls, and could be there within 15 mins to pickup. The lady then let out the loudest, most exasperated sigh I’ve ever heard. The entire phone call she was rude, she loudly sighed at us at least three times, and even verbally was annoyed when we asked if we could have hoikken noodles for both dishes.I’ve worked in different restaurant industries for almost ten years, and I have never seen/experienced service as rude as this phone conversation. I’m unsure why they were closing at 6:50 when their hours online say they’re open until 8:00pm. Maybe because they were out of rice, but they could stay open and continue serving their noodle dishes. I always tip 20% (I’m a server, and never tip below 15%). This was the first time I refused to leave a tip for a restaurant. My boyfriend and I just moved to Duncan recently, and we were so excited to have noodlebox again as we haven’t had it in over a year. We will not be returning to this location unfortunately.

I’ve never in my life been to a worse restaurant, this is supposed to be an amazing place (which it is in Vic and Naniamo) but who ever runs the Duncan one should be shut down. They never get the orders right and they’re supposed to close at 8 but they shut the doors and stop answering the phones after 7 so they can leave not a second past 8. It’s quite pathetic and the higher ups need to fix this as you can see from the reviews they don’t have a good reputation in Duncan. Honestly quite pathetic.

Ordered a Pad Thai. Had a couple bites and didn’t like the taste, not like any Pad Thai I’ve ever had and seemed lacking in some ingredients. Checked the ingredients and was reassured that it was in fact supposed to have peanuts and egg. The sauce felt wrong as well, very sweet, more like a teriyaki, not like than any Pad Thai sauce I’ve made/eaten. Went back to inquire, thinking perhaps I’d been given the wrong meal. Turns out they don’t have egg or peanuts, but didn’t bother to mention that for Pad Freaking Thai….also didn’t offer to do anything just shrugged and said “sorry.” Will not be returning here, too disappointed by this and several previous noodle box experiences.

Never, ever, EVER visiting this establishment again. I have been sick for the past three hours after having eaten a simple veggie bowl. I haven’t ever experienced food related illness in my life and this has been an unprecedented event. I have heard horror stories from others but always thought my meals had turned out relatively well so I ignored their advice on the merit of trusting my own judgement. Never again.The owners also employ a staff that seem to care very little about the experience of their customers. Attitude, eye rolling, and a “whatever” sense of others is truly a feat. They better shape up before my experience and others I know continues to occur or they may suffer huge loses in business. Word of mouth is your best friend or worst enemy.
