Sushi Hama
Great place for sushi, we drove 20 minutes from where we were staying just to order from here on our vacation. It was definitely worth the trip. The food tasted great and the staff are super friendly. Will come back next time I visit the island.

I've been in here many times for lunch and dinner and am impressed with the staff and the food.They go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of like bringing me tamari when I mentioned I couldn't eat breaded shrimp anymore because of the wheat. And the food quality is almost always on par.Had lunch with my pops and my tuna sashimi and avocado cucumber veg roll were very good. I also ordered the California roll with real crab which was okay, but the texture of the crab was a little off and very dry. It's a limitation of real crab and I know that but would have been nice to have a little something to pull it all together.Dad had the seafood Udon and was very happy with the flavor and portion size. Decent variety of seafood but a lot of pollock fish ball instead of natural, unprocessed seafood. Be mindful of watching your salt intake!All in all a good place and I highly recommend it for eat in or take out.

Came for lunch and got the lunch box.Not much of a place to look at inside.Sake was served good and hot.Sunomono was nice and cold.BUT. Rice was to starchy, imitation crab starting to have fishy smell. I didn't like their house salad dressing, to mayonnaisey.Over all, when I left, I had Gut Bomb feeling.No washroom.Sorry, but will not return.

Sushi Hama
My family and I have been coming to Sushi Hama regularly since we moved here 8 years ago, and won’t stop any time soon. For us and whoever we’ve brought here, this is the best sushi on the island. Peter always does an incredible job making delicious sushi with quality, fresh ingredients. Lovely environment sitting inside or at the tables in the back, and staff are always nice. Now that you’re able to stay inside and eat your takeout, I definitely recommend going here for a bite to eat. You won’t be disappointed!

The sushi here of many traditional varieties, some have sauce, some do not which is nice because not everyone likes sauce their sushi or sashimi. I personally do not like sauce but there were a few that I tried that were quite tastefully made.Food and Table service is fast even though it was busy when we were there, our dishes were served fresh and fast! Kind and Thoughtful service.The food presentation is beautiful and clean.The seating and tables could use some organisation, otherwise the ambience is quaint, warm, homey. A quiet place to enjoy dining out.We thoroughly enjoyed the overall experience.

What a great sushi find! The cute little village-market where it’s located definitely added charm to this amazing place. Good food; good service; and reasonably priced.

This place is the perfect place for everything. The owners are friendly and the food is very good. My children ate udon deliciously, and my mother and I were satisfied with Sushi and Hama Box. Next time we will come to eat another menu.

Excellent sushi! We loved the tempura prawns and yams and monkey brain too. No pictures of those. We ate them as our appetizers. Serving sizes are good and the prices are fair. We recommend this place for the food and friendly staffDrinks not included with the meal! This was our Anniversary meal.

I'm a huge fan of sushi so I was excited to try Sushi Hama. Before I grabbed my order I went to the liquor store and got a bottle of sake to go with my dinner.I stuck to nigiri and sashimi, with a miso soup to start things off. The fish was very fresh and delicious. Generous portions as well. My only thought would be, when the chef is making nigiri to put the wasabi on the inside. I also understand that's not something everyone enjoys.I'm very happy they had toro and a good selection of other fish to choose from. I would fully support uni, oysters, or anything else that's a bit more adventurous.I will definitely be going back and am thankful for a place like this in a small town.Kanpai!
