This is my first time living in an apartment complex. I must say, the Surrey Village has been more than home. The apartment management team and the maintenance crew are at the most efficient and reliable personnel I've ever come to known. The people living here are awesome. It's both family orientated community, mixed with college students, which by the way, respect the community and know to abide the rules. And looking forward to the new gym and social room!!!!

Front office staff are always amazing and welcoming. Had an issue recently and Megan resolved it right away even though they were closing soon. Repairs are done asap and the maintenance guys are always super nice. Sunny always makes sure to say hi when people walk by!

My eldest daughter moved into a bachelor suite here many years back and it was a nice enough unit for a decent price in a clean building. After my youngest left home I moved into a 2 bedroom here with my eldest and the cost could not be beaten. A few years ago the property was sold and the cost of an apartment went up quite a bit. They were completely renovating them, installing new carpets and new appliances. As old tenants move out (for them the rental price increase each year is the maximum allowed by law) the management redoes the empty apartment, makes a massive rental increase then rents it out to a new tenant. Because the building is across from King George station, with new office buildings and convenient shops being built and opened, the building allows pets (cats and small dogs) people pay the hiked-up costs.Having lived here before these owners I can say with certainty the building was always clean and office staff always friendly and polite. Since the new owners took over there is little change in the cleanliness and management of the building. The hallway carpets still always clean, the elevators still always wiped down, the grounds still always kept tidy and office staff still a joy to deal with in most instances. However, new management have made improvements to the building and yard. There is new paint, carpets and baseboards in all the hallways, 2 of 3 elevators have been redone with mirrored walls, new floors, etc, new plants in the gardens and new planters at the walkway and in the courtyardadd to the good taste management wants to portray. I appreciate all the great changes new management have been making (other than the rent hikes each year), and I imagine they have a budget to work within. Many improvements outside of the apts are not necessary, people were already renting out the apts but management continued to improve, placing nicer furniture in the lobby, adding plants to the grounds to make them more attractive etc. This says they care about how you feel having someone come to your home. The office staff is very relaxed and talking to them about any issues, occasions, business or just saying hello is always a pleasure. I like to stop to say hello and find out if any event is coming up in the building (and to get my dog one of the always available dog treats). Further to all I have mentioned of building improvements the new staff has carried on, and expanded upon the get-togethers and give-aways for the tenants. Valentine's Day is coming up in a few days and there are tickets in the office to put name and unit number on for a chance to win a Valentine's Day gift. They do this for Mother's Day, Father's Day, St. Patrick's Day, the list goes on and gifts are always very nice be it a gift card or a basket of items representing the day. For the big holidays there are free parties in the event room, like Christmas dinner with all the fixings and Halloween with the costume contests and always gift give-aways. During the summer months there are bar-b-q parties in the courtyard and for Valentine's Day just a few days from now, there is free breakfast in the lobby so even the people who work can stop and enjoy getting to know their neighbours. It is a great place to live, public transportation, Holland Park, Surrey Central mall (including a Wal-Mart and a walk-in Medical clinic), Save-On-Foods and Safeway, Tim Horton's, A&W, Starbuck's and more all within blocks. Sadly my daughter and I will have to move within the next couple years simply because of the cost of the yearly rent increase for old tenants.

Poor and unprofessional service from most of the resident managers. The resident managers for this site seem to change extremely often. There is a small commercial building also owned by RealStar located on the east side of the building (facing King George Blvd). If you're lucky enough to live on this side you can expect to hear a loud squealing noise every time their air handing units turn on. This is wonderful to hear throughout the night during the warmer nights where you need to keep your windows open. This has been reported and unresolved.

So, I lived here for a year and it was horrible. The building manager, Myint, was not a nice individual. She argued with me about getting two sets of keys which is normal when you get an apartment. She also speaks to you like you’re a child and is very dismissive. The hallway sometimes had a nasty smell. There were break ins with the mailbox and I’ll miss mails as a result of that. The location attracted a few sketchy folks. One night, I couldn’t get into the building through the front door as a sketchy man was outside. The apartments are a decent size and it’s pet friendly. That’s all it has going for it. I do not recommend unless you’re desperate.

I have been living here for 2 years, and, I just love it ! Fantastic staff, it'slike a family ! Everything is spotless , hallways , elevator, lobby, also, during the summer there are flowers all around the building.Oh yes, It's just by King George skytrain station ,close to banks, Walmart, shopping mall, post office, 1 block away from Holland Park, it is an extraordinary location. ! Something else, the suites are spacious, I am so happy ! : )

I moved here on September and have been living here for about two months now. The building manager, Myint, is such a friendly and helpful person. She is very responsive and her helps made the hectic move smoother.

Do not stay here. After having 1 winter here and telling the front office that the window condensation dripped on to my bed their response to was to open my window in the middle of winter. I had intended to move sooner but then covid hit and my income was uncertain. I told them that mold spores were landing on my pillow next to my bed (my bed had to be up against the wall to fit anything else in my room). And that my mattress was getting moldy. I honestly hated paying the rent here every month as it was so hard to keep the mildew and mold off the walls. I only saw the bottom after moving out. This is a terrible standard of living and I am honestly appalled the solution was just open your window in the middle of winter. I tried those insulation plastic things against the window but then spring hit and I needed fresh air... I feared posting this while living here thinking I would be evicted but I believe people should know how terrible the mold can get here. The gym was under construction for basically the entire time I lived here (1.5 years) and due to the construction the cockroaches moved up to the higher floors and there were exterminators here every 4-6weeks for a while. Hospital is close by and sirens go off frequently through the night. Do not live here if you are a light sleeper. Construction on the street below is apparently ok until 330am sometimes... just a headache living here. Mail theft... the staff is overall very nice but I felt I had no choice but to live with the mildew after their response. I heard another woman complain a different day and they told her the same thing. Good luck if you decide to live here... can get way better for much less.

I just moved in recently (not my actual name above) and I must say so far it’s been a great experience, Sunny and Mint have been more then amazing to make sure I was being taken care of from start to finish. You can see they care in their jobs.I’m excited of my new beginnings and love having easy access to the sky train. My apartment is a nice size and looking forward to using the gym. Sunny informed me that this will undergo renovations in the upcoming year, so I look forward to the new gym when it comes. Thank you both for making me feel like this is a home. I am looking forward to living at Surrey Village. S.L.
