Boutique de Danse Wendy

The owner made it seem like I was severely inconveniencing her when I asked to try on pointe shoes. I spent over an hour in the store because each time another customer came in she would ignore me to help them. Eventually I bought a pair but my ballet teacher was not happy with the fit. When I asked to return them, the owner was rude and humiliated me. She then told me I could only receive store credit and a fitting fee would be withheld that she had not previously mentioned. Overall very disappointed by the service provided and will not be returning to this store.

As a professional dancer I love going to Boutique de Danse Wendy. The customer service is excellent and professional. Wendy has gone above and beyond making sure my pointe shoe order arrived in record time during the pandemic for my dance video project. I have only great things to say about Boutique de Danse Wendy and highly recommend them. I feel as though Wendy has taken a personal interest in seeing my projects succeed and come to fruition.

Horrible customer service and rude owner. Went last week and waited for over 20 minutes before she would even acknowledge my presence. Had a family member go there and she was extremely rude and condescending towards her. Unacceptable.

Terrible costumer service. Despite the small size of the store I had a hard time getting the lady's attention. I don't know if she was the owner. She was an older lady with a smug, obnoxious and bored look on her face. She made me wait a good few minutes while she placed her merchandise on the shelves before getting the shoes I had asked for. When I asked for the price, she said she didn't know and had to check at the cash but didn't bother going to find out. The presumption was, once we move to cash for payment you'll find out. Her general attitude was far from courteous and light years from friendly. Did not buy and will not go back.

Buyer beware, this is not a professional establishment. A small amount of research reveals a serious customer service problem, and my experience was the same. The owner is not knowledgeable, and refuses to admit her mistakes. In my case, I brought my daughter in for a simple pair of ballet shoes. The owner only showed me one pair and assured me they fit properly even though my daughter complained they were tight. Reluctantly I purchased them after the owner explained that they needed to be tight and that they would stretch over time. During my daughter's first lesson, she was unable to continue and the teacher recommended that the shoes be returned, as they were at least a half size too small. When we returned, the owner instantly assumed a very negative attitude and said the error was the fault of the person who fitted them on my daughter. When I reminded her that she was the person who fitted them she became angry, said she had to see another customer and just turned and left us there. Needless to say, no amount of money is worth being treated this way. I can only hope this helps future customers avoid this store. There are many other local retailers and a plethora of online stores so do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.

Wendy provides her clients with second to none service! My daughter had been told that her relatively new pointe shoes were dead but one trip to Wendy and we found that this was not at all the case. She spent oodles of time with us and demonstrated that the placement of the elastic and ribbons were erroneous and made sure that we got them put right. We are very grateful to her for taking all that time and helping us with our problem. Highly recommended!
