El Gordo
El Gordo was a lovely place to dine at with chatty staff members and a lovely ambiance. From the brunch menu to the drinks everything was packed with amazing options. A little expensive for tacos but worth the money. It serves a delicious brunch that keeps you full but not stuffed and their vegetarian options were not only flavourful but very appealing. I’d recommend, Portobello to any of my fellow vegetarians. It’s a great place for a subtle family outing and a definitive rebook for a good way to start the day with some spice on a lazy afternoon.

Some dish are more flavorful then others. We went on a Monday night (7h30pm) and it was impressively full! We had 3 plates of taco AND each plate contained 2 tacos, EXCEPT ON TUESDAYS, 3 TACOS. It's a great place to chill, go on a date,with friends and chitchat. They also have a terrace (patio). I will definitely go back.

The service at El Gordo is wonderful. Their margarita pitcher is delicious. The large nachos were okay. And the tacos are very filling, but for me it was missing some sauce and more flavor. Their best taco is the fish, it was good.

Discovered this new taco place and love it! We went on a Tuesday and they had a great special on Tacos Al Pastor (3 for 12$).I also tried the guacamole which had a stronger lemony taste than what I’m used to but still very delicious!First time trying a Pisco Sour drink and this might just be one of my favorites now! My friend got the Paloma (pink one).We had a wonderful service from Jenn who made sure we were okay and she’s super nice too!Fun ambiance with music and great for going out with friends or for a fun date. Highly recommend!

Really disappointing experience. Nachos weren’t cooked enough, cheese wasn’t melted and was cold. We asked for it to be warmed up and it came back the same. It did not come with any sides like sour cream or salsa, it’s an extra. Tacos were really disappointing as well, chicken was dry. The beef burrito was good though. I would not recommend.

Good atmosphere. The service was fine. Unfortunately the food was very disappointing, starting with the nachos which weren’t layered and came with pickled onions that tasted like they came out of a can. The shrimp tacos were small and you only get two. They were topped with a mayo that also tasted store bought. The burrito was good but not worth $20. Both dishes came with a soggy side of coleslaw. There was no “freshness” present. For a $70 meal you expect a lot more!

Large nachos shown in photo with pork. This Mexican restaurant was very good, servings are generous and well prepared. The nachos didn't come with salsa and sour cream though, we paid extra. The steak fajitas were also very good, however we asked foredium-rare and it came well done. The margaritas were delicious though! Definitely made from scratch and not a pre-made mix like many other places in the city.

Super nice service, casual yet comfortable ambiance, and really delicious unpretentious food. Loved the shrimp tacos, great portobello mushroom tacos, and you MUST ask for the hot sauce if you like extra spice, it’s excellent. The tacos are VERY loaded, so it gets messy and very filling.

Great tacos in the heart of little burgundy! Fairly priced compared to other taco places. Their tacos are big enough to fill you up. Staff is friendly and restaurant clean. Would come back!
