New to the area. Went to the barbershop 4-5 times in 6 months and I must say I have always got a great haircut. Every single time! Just show a picture of the haircut you want and you’re all set. The lady that cuts the hair is polite and also takes her own time to cut the hair. Doesn’t rush to finish even if another person is waiting by for a haircut.

IF YOU LOVE YOURSELF, DO NOT GO HERE!!! I recently moved to Parliament street and i was in the market for a new haircut. The lady here had no clue what she was doing, she messed-up my hairline, i still haven't recovered from it. the cliche barber excuse" of blaming your hair texture and head shape was in full effect. She also raises her voice at the slightest direction of how you want your hair trimmed. The ambiance was dull

The lady asked me: How do you wanna look like?” I said : like Brad Pitt”, now I look like George Clooney! That is so much better!! No, joke. I showed her a picture I made after a Vidal Sassoon haircut and she made it almost as good and I payed less than 25 percent of the Sassoon price. If it wasn’t too far from Europe I would be here quite often to get my hair cut.

[ALERT] So I am in a Dilemma here because she is an old lady but I will speak only the TRUTHI called 3 other barber shops and all were booked. This lady said I can walk in any time. That was the fist SIGN of a bad place that I ignored.Read some reviews and decided to give it a shot.I walked in, the place was empty and dull. That was the 2nd SIGN.I started talking to her about the kind of haircut I wanted - she did not seem to understand anything I was saying - She was just saying OK OK - seemed to me that she was in a Hurry for no reason. That was the 3rd SIGN.I tried to show her some pics on my phone just so that she understands what I wanted. She just nodded and started to cut my hair.Her hands were shaking and I am pretty sure she had a blurred vision due to that huge helmet she was wearing for Covid protection.I realized I made a mistake. But it was too late.My hair was so messed up that I had to go to another barber just to get my hair aligned. My chef roommate would have given me a better haircut with his knife. This is your SIGN. Save yourselfP.S. I hope the old lady is able to find a different source of income so that she does not have to mess people's hair to make a living. God bless her.

I had my hair trimmed and hair style, she was very pleasantand did an excellent job on my hair.

This is a very simple shop but my requirement of getting a simple and great looking cut is achieved here. An old lady is the only person I have seen cutting and even taking appointments over the phone. I visited her few months back for the first time to have a simple and short hair look to suit my face. My wife and I loved the results, so I decided to go every time for a hair cut. My last cut was few days back.

I’ve been going to the Cabbagetown Barber Shop for about a year now since my previous barber moved away. It’s always a bit of a challenge to find a new barber, and Nancy doesn’t disappoint. She always provides a very good cut at a reasonable price, and the location of the shop is also convenient. I have no problem recommending the C.B.S.
