West Island Montessori Academy

My both children goes to this pre-school, the premises is very clean, safe. The classroom I have seen has large windows, lot of light. The building seems recently renovated. The class room has good child to teacher ratio, teachers are very very caring. The have been giving close attention to kids.The management is very helpful, they have been conducting lot of indoor and outdoor activities. My daughter really enjoyed many field trips organized by management.They recently conducted parent teacher meeting, it was very helpful to learn way they are teaching and giving our thoughts. It was very satisfying to see management, teachers latterly spent more than 2 hours with all parents to answer our questions. So far I found this place very good, and strongly recommend this place for children < 5 years.

WIMA is an authentic school which truly upholds Montessori's philosophy. The educators are all trained and qualified as well as loving, the environment is beautiful, the meals are delicious and healthy and the administration is top notch professional. I highly recommend WIMA to any parent looking for a high quality, well-rounded preschool for their child.

It only takes one visit or one glance at the school's Facebook or Instagram to see that West Island Montessori Academy is a special place. We feel so fortunate to have been part of the Montessori community for the last few years. The educators and administrators are so caring and passionate about what they do. They really pour their hearts into caring for the children. My daughter is graduating this week and is so prepared for school, reading entire books at bedtime and, most important, has a love and thirst for learning. My son is graduating from the toddler class to a Casa and we've had an equally great experience with him so far. Caring educators, amazing Montessori environment and approach, healthy meals, a beautiful playground outdoors, very clean... what more could a parent ask?

We loved and still love our experience with WIMA. my wife being a front line worker, it was a challenging time for us. Thankfully. the WIMA team was there to support us! they were able to stay open and welcome our daughter to help us get through these stressful days. We've noticed a considerable growth in Leila's speech, organisation and structure, social etiquette and is overall blooming! the educators are all more than qualified and the administration is always ready to collaborate, communicate and work in tandem with parents to best support children. We recommend it to anyone that is looking for an above and beyond" approach to educating children."

I have a hard time finding the words to express how happy and grateful we are to have found this daycare/preschool. From the first moment we stepped in, I noticed how happy and polite the other students are; they are taught responsibility and how to take care of each other, as much as a toddler can. My son’s educators (the whole staff, really,) have made what is usually a very difficult transition from full-time homecare to full-time daycare extremely pleasant, reassuring and educational. I have zero negative feelings when I leave my son here in the mornings, and I know he is in the best possible environment for his development. After researching, I knew I wanted a Montessori education for him and this was one of the only legitimate daycares I found that provides this. His educator is so caring and always smiling. He adores her and talks about her often at home. I could go on and on, but in a nutshell, your child’s care and education are one of the most important decisions you can make in your life, and I feel incredibly good about this one. Thank you!

Worst daycare based on our opinion. The staff dress like they are going to a cocktail and behave as such.Very pretentious and do not care about the children from the few instances we saw before pulling our daughter. Whenever I am asked by friends, I do not recommend it. They now built another daycare across the street.

Extremely disappointing. Send my kid to the private daycare. Lack of management, lack of organization, educators are discouraged, poor quality meals, unless you want your kids eat macaroni and cheese very often. ONLY 2-3 hours of Montessori based education at mornings. After that it becomes a regular daycare.

I strongly don't recommend this daycare. The tools, they have them but the approach, cruelly lack. Flashy programs, not based, as we would wish, on child's interest or development, but on smokes and mirrors. Here are the points that have decided to withdraw our child: cornering because our child was crying to see us (first, punishment shouldn't be used on this type of setting, it should be dialogues and interactions with the child to let him/her know what to expect and what's more to provide a good model of what to do in a situation, second, crying because you miss your family should never be punished, a child needs reassuring care givers...), little outside time (which is primordial for any healthy child development, for them to explore things and go further in their own experience of the world) and in a small corner of dusty terrain, force the child to eat, mediocre food where the vegetable is non-existent (pasta most of the time even if the menu says something else), very far from the new education. On the other hand, the floors are always clean as the snow clothes are always dry ...

I cannot express how much love and gratitude I have for the team at Montessori Academy. My daughter is extremely well taken care by Miss Sara, and Miss Rashpreet. We are super happy by Montessori environment, my daughter has learned so much and she is only 14 months. The place is extremely clean and organized. I truly believe there’s no better place for my child to be! The staff and administration are exceptional on every level.Thank you.

One of the most authentic daycare cum learning centres. Its very clean, management and staff is super friendly. I moved to two different cities but could not find a centre like this.
