Stayed for the night and did the private cooking class. Great space. Lovely rooms and the owners are great. Food was amazing. Would definitely go again when I'm in the area. Brunch can be busy so maybe do a reservation.

Went for brunch on a soggy Saturday afternoon and was welcomed into the warm and inviting embrace of the Apron. We were seated at a table with a large window full of succulents and much to look at within. House made preserves and sauces; glass displays of decadent desserts all add to the welcoming feel. The food is fresh, whole, hearty and is obviously cooked with passion. The weekly changing menu ensures only the best and would leave few if any wanting.

My goodness what an exceptional place. Went for the Easter Brunch today . It was one of the most delicious meals I have ever eaten. Highly recommend and a nice drive out of the city. Simply spectacular. Wish I had taken photos but I was too busy eating. Recommend making a reservation, you won't be disappointed!

Very cute stop along our travels with a very unique menu and tasty options. Has a little bookstore and shop inside. The desserts looked so delicious but we were stuffed full from our meal! Highly recommend The Flying Apron!

What a find!!!! Great food, second to none!!And locally sourced, well done. I have not had halibut for some time, pleasantly surprise to see it on the menu for a very reasonable price. Over the top presentation and taste. They also have a nice shop for some of their favourites to take home. We bought the BBQ sauce.Worth the short drive from Halifax. We will be back!!!!

Simply phenomenal! Now that I have finally recovered from my food coma (the food was THAT good; I couldn't stop eating!), I am already thinking about going back! Regardless of the direction you are coming from, it is well worth the drive!I had the Oktoberfest menu and it reminded me of so many flavours from my mothers cooking. I can't wait to try different menu items, as well as their regular" menu!"

My wife went here with friends a few years ago, and was not impressed, but touring the area this year, we decided to stop and give the spot another try. My wife reports that they have really gotten their act together and things were much better. She had a crab-cake dish that was delicious and I had one of the best Reuben sandwich I have eaten. The place was very COVID safe and masks were suggested and our table was nicely spaced away from others. The restaurant is also a nice book store with a eclectic selection of books. Out front they also carry local products, bakery products and even a few local vegetables. Although I do not know anything about it, but they also apparently operate a popular cooking school.

The food was amazing. I luved that the ingredients are locally sourced. The service was very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was like coming home and you are relaxing with old friends. If you enjoy books and a great deal, check out the used book area. There was some delicious local food products for sale as well as beautiful works by local artisans. I can't wait to go back!
