I was a member at Arkona fairways for several years and enjoyed the course very much now that it has been sold to golf north I was never so disappointed with the way the course is .....the course it's self is good shape but the way it is run is unacceptable 5 people on tee boxes should never happen but they don't seem to care and the course bathrooms are horrible...but once again they don't seem to care it's all about putting money in the till .....I was considering buying a membership there to play there and other courses as well but after reading the reviews I think I will join a course that is owned by someone with some pride in the way its taken care of........the food in the clubhouse was edible but that was it ....greasy and old maybe they should have a food truck on site ...I think it would be better....not to sure if I well be back

First time booking a 2 some for Sat. Wanted to add two Can t add two to make foursome put us with other golfers didn t want to golf with guys I don t know great start not sure I'll go back to arkona. 72.00 for so so course pretty high priced

I’m really trying not to be negative in my life, but it’s so hard when you golf at GolfNorth property.First off, don’t expect much. Don’t expect much when you’re playing at one of their very low end courses for 65 bucks and don’t expect much when you pay one of their high-end courses for over 90.Secondly, don’t expect any communication or help from the organization at all.I was part of a foursome that got out golfing a few weeks back. There was a group of people in front of us that were more interested in finding golf balls than playing a game of golf. They slowed everyone down and were one hole behind the group ahead of them after the second or third hole by the time we reach the sixth hole, they were three holes behind. There were two marshals on the course and we talked to both of them. They just brushed it off and asked us what we expected for Saturday. The one gentleman we had grouped up with was quite upset and told the Marshall that. The Marshall‘s response was a bit of uncomfortable laughter and then he drove away.I sent a few emails to the course with no reply. They never reply.It took us a little over five hours to complete our a round of golf.GolfNorth was run poorly years ago and it still runs poorly today. Save the hassle and save your money and find a course that actually respects its patrons.

Odd set up. Golf north manages/owns the clubs...but they attempt to operate independently? Pass the buck back and forth, which is terribly un-professional. They have some great courses managed by actual pros (grey silo and conestoga) and then a wild west situation out at Foxwood.Their cancellation policy is a travesty. Even if you book 2 tee off times (which I did, both under the Golf North umbrella)...and keep 1 of them...which I did....they charged me for not cancelling. Fair enough (completely my fault)...but please switch to a $50 fee or something. Getting hit for $250 at Foxwood of all places hurt. The manager was 'nice enough' to let me play again (since they were not going to return the $250). Wouldn't even turn it into gift cards...which was my request...I wasn't interested in playing that course.Low and behold though...they STILL CHARGED my playing group for the carts (there were just 3 of us...we didn't spend $250...and the left over money was not put towards our driving carts). Mind officially blown. So in addition to an afternoon twilight that barely totalled $150...we had to SPEND another $60 for carts. Again, mind officially BLOWN. The other $100 on my visa was lost to the wolves...how that wasn't turned into carts is beyond all reason.Just a shame we are absolutely surrounded by them in the Region of Waterloo. Thank the Lord we still have Cambridge clubs like Cambridge G and C + Savannah golf club.Golf North: Please note...over the last years I have spent over $10, 000 with your courses...so I am not a one time fly by nighter...leaving a meaningless review.

DO NOT PLAY AT GOLF NORTH COURSES. I had booked 2 tee times through 'tee on', owned by golfnorth, 1 of which they couldn't honor. According to the Batteaux creek golf club employee. I canceled the tee times based on what the employee had said and they couldn't honor it. the same employee had ensured me that they wouldn't charge me anything. The charges went through and I was charged early booking fees, for a product they couldn't honor. I argued for 40 minutes with Janice, the General Manager of Batteaux creek apparently, where she basically said it was my fault, painted a picture in which she insinuated I was a liar, and refused to hold her employee accountable for the information she gave me. She then told that I would never get money back and said 'how much time are you going to waste on this?' Apparently some people have so much money that they don't have to worry about it. According to Janice, once tee on takes your money, it is gone forever. No problem taking it, but getting it back is impossible. DO NOT PLAY GOLF NORTH COURSES

Kingswell Glen. If you enjoy following large groups of golfers (8-10) playing together then come on out to Kingswell Glen on a Saturday afternoon. 18 holes will take in excess of 5 plus hours and you’ll be waiting to on every shot. No marshalling or starters. Not worth the green fees we paid. Never coming back!

On top of the absolute garbage management of their courses, there tee on system seems to have been hacked and my information stolen and used. A random mysterious booking occurred under my name that I didn't book. Weird.

The worst greens conditions I have experienced in a long time and I spent 15 yrs + in the industry. Conestoga Golf staff were terrific,but the course conditions...never again for me.

Conestogo G&C Club - Staff are great, you never get nicked and dimed to death when checking in. Great twilight rates. Some random guy working there even gave me a ride to the first tee box (Moores) which is a good walk. Course is in excellent shape.Just few geese on one hole. I guess that's why it is called goose run.Can't wait to play again, hopefully break a 100!
