Great shelter, never stayed there but regularly go for food and they almost always have food to offer me and my dog even though I don't live there. Very nice employees also.

ALERT ❗️❗️The staff and the food is okay ❗️BUT THE PLACE IS FULL OF TOXIC MOLD ❗️within the walls; it’s a serious health hazard. The building needs a major overhaul and a good deep cleaning, including the suites upstairs.

Everybody's experience is different, it really depends on why a person is here, possibly what trauma they have had etc. Some are just doing the circuit and are unreachable and some have truly been victimized and feel lost and hopeless. These are the people they (the staff) should focus on. It is often hard to distinguish the two, as the people who r doing the circuit are quite good at lying and know how to manipulate the system and are quite often they travel in groups of 3 or more.The staff ,not all, but some do work hard and do ,at times have dangerous situations arise .Staff should, because of the changes that have been pushed upon all of us by the greed of our government/elitist , should be retrained in dangerous situations, as the guests in the shelter are becoming more dangerous . Security at night is non-existent and in the same building is an apartment full of tenants who pay rent to live here. At times the shelter guests get up stairs and it is quite unsafe.

Stayed one night and got body lice. Impossible to sleep with noise and lights on all night . Avoid if at all possible!

I had a shorter but sweet stay at the Shelter. It is very like a good hotel. Great food. Great accommodations. Great staff. And I was able to have Gabrielle and Samson, my two furry friends and my two Beta fish too. I can highly recommend this home away from home.

Great staff, non judgmental doing great work

Be careful. I've never been there without seeing cockroaches. Even worse are the bed bugs, they are everywhere so if you walk inside spray your shoes with bleach before you leave.

Amazing staff. Women's rooms are on a separate floor than mens; men are not allowed in the women's hallway but will sometimes use that washroom around mealtimes. Good food & fair sized portions. Serves three meals daily. Requires doctors note to stay in rooms between breakfast & dinner on weekdays but lounge is open all day. Live piano music played at dinners occasionally.
