Myung's Taekwondo Academy Thornhill

My son has been attending Master Myung’s for over a year now and he loves it. Master Ted, Master Yang and all the Instructors are amazing with the the kids. They provide a very nurturing, safe yet disciplined environment for the kids to learn. The parents have a place where they can also watch while class is going on. They teach the kids discipline, respect and how to have fun while learning. My son was having a bit of difficulty learning one of the patterns and without us asking, they made sure that he received some additional instruction while in class. They didn’t do this for just him. They do it for any child that may be having a bit of challenge. We have seen a difference in our son’s coordination and confidence. We have been very happy with our son’s development over the last year. We will be moving out of the area and it will be too far to continue attending Master Myung’s, but if ever we decide to move back to The GTA, we will definitely be coming back to continue our son’s training here. Thank you to everyone at Master Myung’s Thornhill. We will miss you!

Great place,spectacular teachers...

The manager is terrible, rude and unprofessional. Instructors on the other hand are friendly and seem to enjoy teaching students. Will never go back all because of the manager at this location. The owner should be made aware of what is going on and should fire him!!! I’m sure a lot of people will agree.

My son had his first ever big birthday party at Myung's today. I wish I could film entire 2 hours of birthday party and share it with everyone. We had 15 kids over with all the parents and they were absolutely wowed by variety of activities and how well it was organized to make his day even more special.Master Ted was so gentle and supportive from the day I contacted him to inquire about the birthday party.He responded right away on my emails and even followed up with me when I was out of town to make sure I was on top of all the preparations for the day.He also nicely printed certificates for all the kids and offering 1 week trial free lessons as well.Master Yang was so energetic and friendly. He made every second full of fun for the kids with master Ted for full 2 hrs. It is no easy task to have full attentions from 7 years old for 2 hours keep them entertained and give them solid lessons under safe and friendly environment. I wish I could have ten thumbs up! First words out of my son on the way back home was... mom we should do all my birthdays here!" Thank you Master Ted and Master Yang! Gamsahapnida!"

The instructors are very professional and the facility is decent. Nothing really bad to say except the manager. For starters, he won’t say hi to you and if you ask a question he will snarl at you like he’ll bite your head off. The only times he is half decent is when it’s time for payment $$. Parents must’ve tolerated his rudeness for many years because it seems that this is the norm here. Again, instructors are professional and nice. The manager is the problem. I do not recommend this place to any one. Do not send your kids here. If you can tolerate rudeness and someone snapping at you for simply asking a question, go ahead.

Great facility and instructors. They take a lot of care to help teach the kids discipline and techniques.

I have attended a birthday party arranged in this place. They did an excellent introduction to all the invited kids and let them all break a pieces of wood by their legs which enhanced the kids confidence in theirselves and made them excited to play the Taekwondo sport. I’d say the two coaches did a great job introducing the sport to the kids and made them happy in a differently organized birthday party.They showed us the second floor too which was spacious for training and well equipped.
