Always in construction.Quite nosies in summer time.

Skyline Homestead is the worst building in the city of Kingston. Constant 7-day a week insanely loud construction noises and toxic foggy fumes all over the building. The construction noises are loud jackhammering that vibrates the entire building and starts everyday INCLUDING weekends at 7:30 AM. The construction was promised to be done in October of LAST YEAR and now it’s April and they said it will be done in early 2024. Do not rent or stay in this building whatsoever. The reason why they have construction is so they can force the older tenants to leave so they can jack up prices on new ones. STAY FAR AWAY FROM SKYLINE AND ALL HOMESTEAD BUILDINGS. They all have these problems. Dont be fooled by their “flashy” website and logo. Homestead is a scam and so is Skyline. A cardboard box is a better option than this.

A terrible building. Students beware. There is 24/7 construction that makes this place un-livable. Homestead is a horrendous managing company that decided it would be a good idea to have constructions during the year instead of the summer. The building literally shakes due to the constant construction. Run away and do not look back. Avoid Skyline and all Homestead properties. Would give zero stars if possible

A good place in a great neighbourhood in Kingston downtown and near downtown with a reasonable price.

Safe and clean environment, the manager is kind and responsible.

Moved in recently and, after renting from a few private landlords locally, have found it so refreshingly professional. Homestead has been easy to coordinate with, their on-site staff are fantastic, and they had the unit professionally cleaned/painted in between tenants (this alone was deeply appreciated after having to work hard in the past to get private landlords to complete even the most basic maintenance).The restoration work on the building is certainly a massive nuisance... but buildings need to be restored occasionally and there is no quiet way to do it. It is unfortunate and deeply annoying, but also normal/essential/unavoidable. Thankfully the worst of it is done.My critiques so far:- No compost bin in the building,- No dishwashers,- Minimal building security... No floor access fob in the stairs/elevators, for example,- Soundproofing between units seems okay for the most part, but I can hear one of my neighbours speaking clearly through our shared wall.

Very unprofessional staff! The cameras don’t work in the building constantly getting mail etc stolen in the building! We had no water running for weeks it’s happened multiple times, can’t even control the heat anymore! Also hear other tenants clear as day through the walls, takes months for staff to come fix something! The list goes on smh
