I had a great experience with training our 8month old puppy at Good Heart. I've trained 2 dogs in the past, this format was more fun and lots of instructor time per student. Learning how to get my puppy to follow commands without having a treat to hand at all times makes so much sense! I don't always have a treat and still need puppy to listen :) We are using the techniques with our older dog now, and he's learning new tricks too. Thanks Jacquie!

We had a rescue Sheppard that had some aggression issues towards other dogs, and to some people.My wife and I signed up on a recommendation from a neighbour.After a few private lessons we were able to attend group session. The improvement we have seen in our dog is significant and Jackie did an amazing job in training the dog (and us) to help create a more balanced and trusting relationship.I felt Jackie went above and beyond with us, not just for standard training, but better understanding the unique challenges we faced. She always took the extra time to answer questions and assist in any way she could.I would highly recommend good heart for anyone looking to train a dog. We are coming from Burlington and while a little far was definitely worth it.Thank you again.

We took our 4 month old puppy to Good Heart Dog training. We are so happy with the attention we got and the eduction we received. Jackie is great and we look forward to doing more classes with our little pup who made great progress so quickly despite being so young when he started. I worked with Jackie at Goodheart Training to help train my Vizsla puppy, Penny. Jackie taught us so much about how to train and handle Penny. The result is an attentive, obedient and loving dog. I would recommend Jackie to anyone in the Hamilton or Ancaster area for dog training.

As a first time dog owner I had no idea on what to expect from my dog let alone how to train her properly but Jackie helped me SO much. Her amazing knowledge and wonderful attitude toward dogs made the entire experience easy and rewarding. I noticed HUGE results in the first class and constant improvement as the classes progressed. My dog is a female Black Lab that was only 4 months old when I started and despite being a puppy she learned fast. The things that make Jackie such a good trainer is that she knew when I could push" my pup to do more and when to "stop" and not over do it for a young dog. She is firm but not mean and explains everything she does and why she does it. The class size was amazing as well with 4 dogs in my classes and usually 2 trainers so the amount of one on one with a trainer can not be beaten. The facility was nice and I like the fact that everything was outdoors. There are many different natural distractions there which help to reinforce the training. I learned to have my dog maintain the training regardless of all the natural smells in the air or the group of houses watching the training sessions. I have now completed level 1 and I plan on completing level 2 in a few months once my pup is a bit older.Bang for your buck this is an excellent dog training facility with passionate and knowledgeable people running it. The only thing I didn't receive was any form of acknowledgement that my dog passed level 1 which isn't a big deal I guess i thought there would be something that said "Luna Passed Dog Training Level 1" or something.Regardless I would highly recommend this obedience school to anyone looking for a great dog trainer who knows her stuff."

Jackie helped me to enjoy my dog again! Her techniques help me gain better control of my dog and his behaviours. So happy I choose to take him to Jackie for private training. Huge change in his behaviour!!!

We took our Small Munsterlander puppy to Jackie, and we are thrilled with the progress our puppy has made.
