Used to be a regular in late 70's. It has changed but still very much the same. The studs who love to dance and make sure their partner can show them off. No band but a video on the wall, which is ok, as then you have a variety of music. They even line dance to Ed Sheeran. It was Thursday night, quiet as apparently the weekends are lined up. Good fun to watch the dancing, wanna be cowboys and buckle bunnies.

It was good. Live music was great. I requested a song between sets and they played it right away. I'm a craft beer and draft fan and all they had was bud and bud light on tap. Otherwise it was a great night out.

I'm sure this is the spot for freshly legal drinking age adults who don't know how to two step. HUGE space, loud music and only country dancing that can be found in this bar is Line Dancing. They had instant hangover drinks by offering $13 triples for the night we went. Bar wasn't packed but was filled as far as the eye could see in plaid.

Awesome spot for a night out. Great atmosphere, excellent live music and very good food. The menu is small and very bbq centric but all of the items are done very well. The dishes arrived hot and well seasoned. We will be back!

Despite their job title, security at this bar seems far more interested in flexing their muscles than maintaining a safe establishment. My friend and I were approached by an employee who said that my buddy was too intoxicated (he had 2 drinks at this point), we were told we had to leave the premises- she gave me the option of staying or leaving with him. This was not an issue, she was doing her job, and we both agreed to leave. However, as we started walking out, security grabbed us, forcing my arm behind my back to force us out, breaking my wrist in the process.While I’m sure force is sometimes force is a necessary part of their job- it was not in this case. We were already leaving voluntarily and without fuss. Train your staff in de-escalation or get some goons that aren’t looking for a fight themselves.

Cook county feels like home. I blame them for all the work I’ve missed but it’s so worth it. The bartenders are so friendly and the atmosphere is so fun! If you want to have a good time you need to come here.

Okay place. Fun if you're into western/country culture and such, but if you're not, it might be a little rough. Drinks are cheap, but they don't feel like they hit like they should. It's the same track list everytime, and still the same as it was months ago. People will also be all up in your business too, so if that's not for you, consider going elsewhere. Bartenders are amicable and look after you.

The best country bar for authentic, old & new country! I’ve been here multiple times and always have a fun time. The drinks are great and the dancing is even better!! Super initiate place for country concerts as well!

I used to love cook county however last nights experience has turned me away from that bar completely.There was a very intoxicated young lady how was surrounded by security in that bathroom. When I went to approach her as I recognized her from earlier security started telling me how useless I was and when I got her address typed in her phone they physically push me and started to yell at me. I have never once been so disrespected in my life. I will be forming a complaint with the managers so that they can get it all figured out and so they can have security that don't push and hurt woman
