This is my favorite Korean Mart in Halifax. This time I visited to make a rice cake named Injeolmi . It was my first challenge to make rice cake, and I was happy to be successful.

This shop has a friendly atmosphere and excellent variety of dumplings, noodles, meat, and pantry items (both canned & dry). The prices are reasonable. There’s no parking on Gottingen of course, but they have a little parking lot around back (and if that’s full, you can always find a spot on a nearby residential street). What really makes this place shine is how well it’s cared for; it’s always very clean and well organized.

JJ Korean Mart
I wanted to make a few Korean dishes (my very first time) for a couple friends of mine that used to live in Korea. I was nervous about going to a new store filled with ingredients I didn't know very much about. The people at JJ Korean Mart were wonderful, and went out of their way to help me find everything I needed to make Dakgalbi, Japchae, and Mandu! Thanks to their help everything turned out great with the dinner I made. I would definitely go to this store again.

During our stay in Halifax, went twice to this shop. Lots of variety for Korean ingredients and items. Only thing is that they don’t have prepared ready to eat meals such as the rice triangles that were previously posted on their review images.Still a great selection of items and very friendly.

Owner is super nice - he always insists on packing my bags for me, no matter how much I got. Really good spot to get Korean products they don’t carry in grocery stores, and very reasonable prices.

For a small store there are a ton of great options here.From Korean snacks to cooking ingredients, this store has it all.On top of that the worker is kind and knowledgeable.I highly recommend JJ mart if you're interested in trying Korean food!
