We are just completing one year of having Xen Accounting manage our accounting, booking, year-end financial statements, payroll services, income tax filings and reconciling of transactions for The Ice House Winery.This is a fully virtual company that has simplified this part of our business - this team headed up by Ryan Lazanis work hard to help us stay on top of the numbers game. Imagine driving on the Trans Canada Highway in a snowstorm in January with whiteout conditions and the highway snow/ice packed, zero visibility. At times before Xen, it felt like we had bald summer tires and sliding out of control was inevitable. Since Xen, we feel like we have a 4 wheel drive vehicle, with snow tires, traction control and a vehicle system status monitoring at all times.Simcoe Holistic Health has been in operation in Ontario just over 3 years. This past year we increased our staffing by 3 new key roles. There has been a large investment into staffing, systems, processes to ensure we can deliver a better quality service to our customer. With an increase in our services, so too has there been an increase in time and expertise on our financial wellbeing of the company. We were exploring options to have a PT/FT bookkeeper join our organization and we were looking at cloud based accounting services. We reviewed a couple of service options and met a couple different organizations. By far, Xen (Ryan, JP, Zayd, Mitchell, Eric) have exceeded our expectations. We were quite “nervous” and worried about the “costly” investment into the business early on by bringing on an accounting service into our company. We reviewed with Xen the services that were causing us a concern, spending excess time managing and was not our expertise. We elected to go with an option that would meet our needs for Year 1 (fiscal year) with Xen. All of the services that we requested, were delivered to a “T” on time, with excellence and with a great attention to detail, in a warm, personal relationship touch. Nothing about our relationship with Xen is “cloud” or robotic. The tools we use are “robotic” but the team at Xen truly have our backs and provide timely response to all of our inquiries (usually within hours, never more than a day).As we move into Year 2, we reviewed what went well and what could be improved in year 2. Ryan ascertained our feedback and didn’t just nod his head he really was interested/vested in quality improvement. We reviewed our goals for year 2, what we wanted to accomplish as a company and Xen made it well known that they wanted to provide us the tools and support to accomplish these goals. We received our service agreement for year 2, and at first we were surprised with the service agreement (price) but after utilizing and reviewing the services after a few short months, this has faded to a non issue. We feel for the services we receive that we truly are receiving traditional “CFO” services in house, with experts in any area we need guidance with. The level of expertise, care, management & handling of all our needs is second to none, all at less of a cost of having a bookkeeper on payroll. We cannot say enough about how we feel Xen has our “backs” and is looking out for our interests while providing stellar level of services.

No one starts a business to run back office. Xen has removed that headache for me. They offer a seamless, modern solution and the team is very service-oriented. Highly recommend them
