Craiglee Nursing Home

After seeing the news article on this place why has it not shut down? Apparently there have been reports of abuse and failure to train new staff properly for years! Clearly this place has no real regard for caring for the elderly and operates as a quick and dirty business. People should not be treated the way shown in the video clips and this place should be knocked to the ground and those involved jailed - not just fired - but sent to jail for assault and abuse.

My mother in law has been here since October. Very impressed with Covid precautions. She will soon be getting her 4th shot. Staff are caring comforting and considerate. They are always keeping the unit clean. Great healthy meals. Physio,exercise classes and of course colouring. Would highly recommend.

2 days ago we admitted our 88 year old mother to Craiglee LTC. Words alone can not express our happiness. As an ICU RN for 40 years I'm very familiar with Healthcare. The staff is very caring,attentive and organized. The menu is very tasteful and healthy. The facility is very clean. Strict COVID protocols are in place. Having our mother at Craiglee is a great sense of comfort for us.

Saw the CBC Marketplace investigation on this nursing home. Shame on the management for turning a blind eye on this bland abuse and disregard for the health and well-being of seniors in this home.

Just saw the report on cbcmarketplace!! What a shame!!! I saw the abuse and neglect of older people at their facility in the hidden camera clip on this report!!! Don’t trust your loved ones with this facility !! Terrible!!! How did these abuses happen ????? What a shame!!!!

First month of my grandmother moving in her items have been stolen. Items include SMALL amount of cash. Her Iphone 6 was also stolen. Unsafe, old, facility.

Looking at these reviews are absolutely useless because if you are being objective most of these reviews are from people that have actually have never had family in the facility and watched a TV show highlighting a few specific incidences.The types of incidences are no more or less likely to happen at any other care facility in Ontario, Canada or the rest of the world.Most of the commentors also really dont appear to have an understanding of the challenges associated with caring for this population given the resources provided to staff and would not be able to do the job well either. Idiolistic comments with no first hand experiences are useless.Please consider how you vote next time instead of harassing health care employees trying to provide the care and services most Canadians do not want to do.

My Dad was put there by a person I never met. I e mailed this place and they told me I wasnt on his contact list and they want me to call them and dont want to communicate by email( I guess they dont like written proof). My dad is being controled by people that appear to be from. India. Infact one person sold his house which is a realtor and his house was in New Hamburg. I bet they took all his money and waiting for him to die. Oh well I guess you get what you deserve. Back in 1979 my dad beat my mom in our basement. He called me on my 50th birthday and I asked him why did he beat her. His response was she deserved it. I hope this place kills him.

they have a lawsuit against them for neglect. watch marketplace, they have shown multiple cases of assault against patients by the staff.

Whoever reads this message, never put your elderly loved ones in Craiglee Nursing Home. My mom went in there June 14th 2016 and she was abuse and neglected​ and my mom passed away February 17th 2017. That place was her early death sentence.
