Ruth is an amazing, positive and understanding dog trainer. She helped us train our reactive dog Sadie into a calm pup that can heel beside us and not react when people or dogs go by. We highly recommend Ruth at Isle Dogs Training.

I have nothing but great things to say about Rue at Isle Dogs Training. I took her 7 week (once per week) obedience classes in 2023. I went into the course very frustrated with my leash pulling, anxious 80lb puppy. I did not feel in control or confident at all. Before the course was even over my relationship with my dog was flourishing. Rue really understands dog behaviour and can confidently answer any questions you have. Her classes are very organized and well laid out. She breaks everything down into manageable steps which helped me communicate with my dog better. She was very encouraging and understanding. She also discusses different dog gear (like collars, harnesses, and crates) and helps with fittings. I am so grateful to have found such a knowledgeable and kind person to call on if I ever need advice or tweaks in the future with training. Her website is also well done with lots of great information.

Ruth is very knowledgeable about dogs and great with humans too. She was recommended to us by our veterinarian, great advice. Our very reactive Aussie Shepherd Stuart, is a changed dog! Ruth gave us great tools and the confidence to use them. Now we get to have normal walks at last. Thank you Ruth!
