Motel 6 Sudbury, ON

The front desk service was very good. Check in and out was organized an efficient.The mattress was terrible with a big dip in one spot as if someone very heavy had sat on that spot every day for a year. Thankfully I was alone as had there been 2 of us, one would have slid off that side of the bed throughout the night.I wanted to have a bath so I wiped the tub with some clorox wipes. Thankfully I did as the back side of the tub had not been cleaned properly and the clothes were brown/yellow after cleaning. This made me question how well the rest of the room had been cleaned.The A/C was visibly dusty.It is an older building so you can hear people walking and talking in the hallways upstairs.I likes that the room could be accessed from outdoors our through the hallway.

Very affordable. Quiet. Lots parking. Just outside main strip Sudbury. Close to good restaurants and coffee eateries. Save yourself a few bucks over the big places and use it for gas or food. Pet Friendly!!

I’m only giving this 1 star… and that’s high. My husband, travelling on business didn’t want to pay $200 for a few hours of sleep. So I booked this for him. Let me be clear… the 1 star is for the bed he got to sleep in. The room was fine, a bit dusty, BUT someone had set the alarm clock for an ungodly hour and he couldn’t get back to sleep. The kicker was the attitude of the clerk at reception when notified! He laughed!!!! Maybe he’s better off as a clown in a circus then serving customers. Disgusting behaviour.

The room is large, bed is comfortable. The AC will freeze you out of the room.Bathroom is a little on the smaller side but functional. Only issue is the shower pan around the drain is cracked.Being it is located just off the highway there is a fair amount of road noise but not any different from city traffic driving by your house.Overall I would happily stay here again.

I NEVER write bad reviews, but I had to this time.Live COCKROACH in my bed when i woke up in the morning. No phone or clock radio in the room. 3 towels and no face clothes. The a/c wall unit was filthy inside. The lobby was in disarray, cluttered with large laundry bin, and things that should be hidden from customer’s site. Wish I had taken pictures.We rushed out early morning after seeing the cockroach, only after checking all of our bags and clothing to make sure we weren’t taking any cockroaches home with us. Very stressful! When i told the front desk staff about the cockroach, he just apologized and said the room had been renovated. He asked if I killed it to which I said no because he was too fast. He said he would have the manager call me. That was 2 days ago and still no phone call. Disgusted and would NEVER stay there again. Stay away! Unless you like the thought of paying good money to share your bed with cockroaches. The fact that the manager hasn’t followed up with me says a lot. I should have been offered a full refund, not just an apology from front desk staff that didn’t seem to care at all. UPDATE as of AUG.5th. The manager never did call. Their pathetic and apathetic, disingenuous response below speaks volumes.

Clean and I believe newly renovated, free coffee in the morning but no breakfast included. Mini fridge and freezer in the room. Our room was unusually huge which is a rare surprise. My only complaint is the price, it cost $175 which is definitely overpriced for the quality. Fine place for a one night stopover but expensive for what it is especially without breakfast. Also pretty echoey as there is no carpet in the rooms so not the quietest place.

Great place. Great service. Little close to highway but I slept great

My room was renovated and quite nice and clean. They did not leave the right towels set up at all, my major complaints is the sound proofing between the rooms I could hear the person beside me all night and they where very quite and respectful. I was scared to shower past like 930 dident want to keep everyone in the place.Someone on the second floor has a dog and you can hear it walking around as well as everytime someone walks by it barks, then you get to hear it’s owner yelling at it. To that person with the dog your selfishness towards your pet and other travellers reminds how dumb some people really are.

Our motel rooms were very clean. The beds were comfortable as well.
