Deering Island Park

Nice and quiet location for a good walk

A small park at the western end of Deering Island in Vancouver. There is some benches with good views of the fraser river and the airport. Located on a small island in the Fraser River, Deering Island Park is a semi-natural area perfect for enjoying the peaceful views of the river and tidal marshes. In late summer, the park is filled with dragonflies and the sweet scent (and flavour!) of blackberries.

pretty quite spot right on the river. it’s just missing a simple trash can.

I love this little park. It has a great view of the water. Great trails.

One of my favorite parks in Vancouver. I really enjoy taking my daughter here to see the horses and to go for a nice long walk. Feels like you are out of the city.

Deering Island Park is located at the southern end of Carrington Street and this location is accessed by Blenheim Street south of SW Marine Drive..there is a small bridge (( Deering Island Bridge )) which leads to Deering Island..there is a beautiful stretch of the Fraser River alongside a pathway leading to a point of land in the park with a comfortable bench which encourages relaxation while enjoying the river with marine activities, bird life and being aware of planes arriving and departing from Vancouver International Airport...there is a pathway leading along the riverside adjoining the Point Grey Golf & Country Club..there is permission to walk this pathway as there is a fence separating the path from the Golf Area...benches are located along this section of the Fraser River pathway which leads to the Fraser river trail-Musqueam gateway on w 51st avenue....we made this delightful walk today from Deering Island Park..

Nice view of the Fraser River but no amenities. Just a rip rap shore. No picnic tables and it's very small. Nearby trails around the golf course look much better.

Very small space. Nice to sit on the grass and chill. Not much going on here.

It's a very small muddy park. Would be nicer in the summer, but not much to look at now. A view across the river from Iona and Macdonald beach. Great if you are local but not really worth the drive.

The equestrian neighbourhood was breathtaking. Beautifully designed homes with incredible yards. You’re guaranteed to see lots of horses. Planning to go there lots in the summer.
