Too bad you can't give zero stars. This guy is ripping off people. I have spoken to multiple seniors who live near there and he is charging 15 to 20 dollars for a simple Sc4 key copy. $5 should be approximately what they pay. Go to H&B Security or Cote Lock, they are way better and honest!

Ron is around for plus 3 decades. A good person but tired and still working (on and off) at his retirement age. There is no guarantee that you can get a hold of him but if you can, he is a great help!

Have used his services a few times. They were pretty good and convenient. He is a small business owner so I am not expecting Walmart prices. But I support local business. And obviously being located in a rougher part of town I understand why he doesn’t allow people inside the store. I owned a business downtown before and I understand the challenges

Fantastic, Amazing customer service? Hum.....Rarely come across a rude know-it-all like this guy. (See other recent reviews). Treats customers he's never seen before with a condescending attitude and disrespect. And believe me, he's not as smart as he thinks he is. Makes you wait outside in the cold, and then conducts business through a 6 inch crack in the door. Try having a conversation that way and doing business on the sidewalk while he stands inside waiting for you to leave. Makes you feel like you're bothering him. And his telephone manners are just as bad, especially if you have a stupid" question.Yup

Ron's is overpriced and rude! I only went to him because his store is a convenient walk from my apartment. I get there, and he tells me it costs $22 to make 2 copies of a key, and that I have to give him a $30 deposit. Another customer who wanted a key cut didn't have the cash and asked to use her debit card. She was told she'd have to pay a $5 service charge on top of the price for cutting a key. Since I didn't fancy travelling to Home Hardware in Waterloo, which charges a reasonable fee for making copies, I paid his exorbitant fee. But I will NEVER go to this crook's store again. And I would NEVER recommend his services to anyone. People really need to know about Ron's unsavoury business practices. Ron is a crook.

Gone here every time I've had keys cut. Prices are fair considering the keys both work amazing and last - and it's supporting a local craftsman/locksmithThe owner knows his craft. Highly recommend

I needed an extra fob for the car and he was able to help me at the fraction of the cost the dealer charges. This guy was so nice and has saved my sanity of having to share the car fob. Sure I couldn’t go in but what do I need to look at really? Thanks again, I will definitely be coming back and telling everyone I know!

Ron custom cut a key for my Toyota Tacoma tailgate in 5 minutes.8 other locksmiths in the KW area told me they couldn’t do anything for me.Thank you Ron for your services to the KW community for all these years.

Called for information, immediately rude and entitled like he's the best around. I could provide him with all the information but he insisted we won't know until I come into the store. Aggressive and rude behaviour when answering insisting. I assume this is to charge overpriced in person because you already made the drive, no thanks

Prices are horrible, three regular apartment keys for $67?!! Terrible service on top of that. Hes not a good businessman at all as he was believed to once be. Used to be a great reliable place but something definitely changed.
