I attempted to pay taxes over the phone but was unable. Was requested to put in my pass code. Called the office to ask about passcode. Was told it is 12345678. I asked how was I to know that. Was told, you wouldn’t!!! Tried again still wouldn’t register. Decided to send a check but saw on the letter, only to send cashiers check or money order!!! Called office back & it was confirmed that a personal check would be returned. And no, cannot make a payment through her. I had attempted to pay these taxes in June but found out taxes are not posted on day received but when processed which can take days. There is a message that says the office is committed to customer service but my experience has been anything but.P.S. I want to be proud of the city that I have lived in for 50 yrs. Detroit you need to do better.

Tried to call , the automated system would not register the number, that it asks u to press to speak to a person. Just reads through the key and repeats itself then hangs up on you

Like Justin said, the number does not register any key presses. It say they are open and you can talk to a person or the automated system but none of the key presses respond. Tried in the morning with 2 different phones with the same result. Later in the day, it says you cannot talk to a person because they are too busy. How if no one can get through? As a side note, I am trying to find out why my taxes went from ~$3800 to over $8200. No response from e-mail yet either.

Poor customer service. Was unable to locate the auction details online. Called the the office and the woman was not friendly and unwilling to assist. When I expressed my confusion with the details she hung up on me. How are they allowed to treat people like that. I hope the calls are recorded. We deserve better customer service.

Phone number never works. Forces you to go in ever single time. Get your stuff together Wayne County! Embarrassing

Very unprofessional. Drove 40 min here arrived at 4:10 just for the door to be locked. Security came to door tell me there closed I told her the website said they close at 4:30. She said they have count the drawers down. I said what does that have to with the building closing early that’s not fair especially leaving work early just make it on time and pay 10 for parking. Usually don’t leave bad reviews but I was really out done. Especially when security proceed to shut door in my face while I was talking and walked away very disrespectful. If your closed at 4:30 you should be taking people up until then I can see if I came at 4:30 but I didn’t. The plus side I got to meet and help by a man named Jerry in the lobby very meaningful encounter very good guy! Thank you Jerry!

Nobody answers the phone! I’m soooo glad I left that ran down CITY!!! Keep electing family members of previous city scammers and the city will STAY TRASH!! Do better!! That’s why nobody even wants to bring businesses to that city because y’all can’t handle BASIC business, properly… like answering the PHONES!! Just throw the whole city away!!! -0 STARS!

really difficult to get information from them...... they always say file a foia.... then you wait days.... just a frustrating experience

How is it that I'm paying my back taxes and the letter states at the bottom of the page that even though I pay my taxes in full it does not represent that property with me and my husband's name on it can be reclaimed or redeemed what kind of scam is this?Donna StinsonTv Talk Show HostPS. When I went down to pay my taxes March 14, 2023 The Lady that was at the training window tried to cheat me out of $20 Dollars. It's bad enough we can't talk to a real person times are tough and I don't need any employee trying to cheat me. This is sad.

I have been calling the office since last year. I can never get anyone to answer, my online bill is not posted and the automated phone system does not work. They are terrible.
