Dollarama

I bought an item from here that was leaking but I didn’t realize until I got home and went to take it out the bag and the bag was soaked with it’s contents… went to exchange or refund and they refused because they couldn’t be certain I didn’t break it when I got home…. The tags were still on and everything and the lady said “oh yeah this is a common issue that’s been happening with this item… people come in the store and it breaks…” okayyy well if it’s so common then wth , why can’t I have my $1.50 back or exchange of another item? Ridiculous…Mind you, I’ve returned an item before (an item was on the counter that wasn’t mine but the lady scanned it and put it in my bag which I saw when I got home and they refunded me no problem).

Popped in here several times for odds and ends. The cashiers are quick, the store is clean, and the shelves are well stocked. I even went in looking for a large box once and when they didn’t have anything large enough, I asked if I could take one of the empty boxes they’d just unloaded they were totally cool with that.

This place needs to have at least one cashier at front, I was at self checkout and a worker come asked me if I paid for everything. I said of course I did, I even told her to check my recipe and my stuff. Like if you don’t trust your clients then Have someone at front that can help them pay fro their stuff.

Store was beautifully stocked and very clean. Only issue was I was purchasing a gift card and couldn't do so through self check out and had to wait for someone to come check me out. I normally prefer self check out and was excited to see this store had that, but again was just irritated I had to edit for a cashier to come to the register to check me out.

I bought toilet cleaner brush from dollarama this location. At home when i opened at removed sticker it was broker and there was a chip underneath sticker.I took it back with original package and asked for exchange and bought other stuff worth $44.Acc to staff they are unable to exchange it as i am not exchanging it same day.So disappointing this early morning. That there is no guarantee anymore if your dollarama stuff is broken . They wont exchange .Should i open packaging at the corner of dollaram to make sure its not demaged ?

As for self check outs, it's the future. Having 4 self check outs is better than waiting in line for one at a time. I read the comment about, them pushing the buying bags, Its a question, as plastic bags aren't free. For the people complaining about self check outs, do you complain at all the grocery stores when you pack your own groceries. are you the one that wears the mask while driving alone, use self check out! shopping is therapy, Have a great day!

Well. Here goes. I went to this store Aug 17/22 on FisherHalman in Kitchener. Bought about 12 bags of Coin Rollers clearly says 1.75$ each. Got to the cash and paid with Visa and noticed they charged me 2$ a piece. I asked her why she said it’s the register we have to charge what register says. I said. That is fraud. I want a refund on my Visa she said sorry can’t do a refund against Dollarama policy. I said I have t left the store. I want either a refund or credit for the right price. She said staff must have forgotten to change the price. I said that not my fault I am here still at the cash. And they wouldn’t help in any way. So I left WITHOUT the coin rollers. I said I will get VISA to reverse the charges. Is this illegal for a merchant to Upcharge an item when a customer gets to the cash. Whe. The bag clearly states the item being a lower price. It’s not a large amount. It’s the principle practice of Dollarama. And people need to know they were wrong Dianacrissy Thomson

This Dollarama has a self-checkout system only which is pretty convenient. It’s a new store and location so it’s very clean and well stocked. Not very busy. Lots of parking. Sells same things as all the other Dollarama locations. Not much else to it.

Absolutely rude staff named ‘Jener.’Have never felt more needed to express the disappointment I have with this location. Walked in and walked halfway down the aisle to hear her yelling at someone from the other isle. She then proceeds to go to her co worker which isle is right by the door where I was and rudely talk about the person in question being very snarky, wasting her time, essentially annoying her, and I immediately walked past her and the coworker to the next isle, then went to the front and asked for her name and left. If you’re going to this location do not expect to feel any sort of comfort. Go anywhere else.the location at westmount is run much better with nice staff.. I was there for a total of 2 minutes and went to another location. Do better. Work is not a place for gossip about paying customers. Where is the etiquette? If you’re going to talk about customers please do it quietly and not when there is another customer in the isle. The lady at the front working cash however was very kind and helpful.
