This used to be a wonderful community resource - and my favourite store to explore for bargains. Sadly, between one day and the next, that changed. This once friendly and welcoming place, where one could always be sure of finding just the right items to reuse or repurpose, without paying an arm and a leg, has become an uncongenial and even hostile environment, with almost everything being incredibly overpriced. I refuse to go back after witnessing, several times, the man (who cannot be termed a gentleman), who seems to have taken over, yelling at and being extremely rude to both volunteers and customers. What a shame!NOTE: Someone or someones, at Wastewise are most definitely picking through the donations, and either taking them for themselves or to resell. None of the good things make it to the floor. The prices for the stuff that does are absolutely insane.

Great place to find treasures and have a chat with Amber and her very friendly staff and volunteers!

This place has changed a lot since that main cashier guy left. Definitely for the better and prices are a lot more reasonable. Using pricecharting.com to price everything was just crazy, that site themselves are way overpriced. Certainly a more inviting place to shop now. Will revisit soon.

It’s fun just to walk around and look at all the stuff. I really enjoyed my experience here.

I can always find unique items at this store. The issues mainly have to do with customer service. During the time at covid when items were free ,a condition set by the mun for them to stay open. I had made a good donation and i had the cashier complain what i had not given him enough and the same person tried to pressure a lady to pay for 1 tiny item even though it was supposedly free. They change prices arbitrarily at the register. They make many snarky comments if you dont buy everything.

Good deals. Bit dangerous space. Lot of broken glass on the ground, not a good place to bring kids. dishes are piled high and I did not feel comfortable moving much to see what all was there. I paid by weight which was cool. Worked out quite well for a couple treasures. Would have stayed longer and bought more if it was more accessible. Good treasure hunting place.

Large, spacious store with some gems and reasonable prices though a touch dank and offputting. However, after witnessing an incident where staff were extremely rude to a customer, I'll never go back. Not only did they scream at a customer who'd put some items on hold, claiming another customer had put them on hold but the shopping assistant had 'forgotten' to put a hold notice on but they did not utter a single apology.----Thanks for your response. I would be very interested in knowing what you learned and what steps you've taken to address this.

It is a great place to buy used books. It'd be great if it's organized well.

I spend like an hour there got something from waste bins with no price tag. As per their rule it must be weight to price but the cashier lady said its $12. The brand New pin pack item from the Walmart is $15.If its Charity please keep it charity store for the low income people to buy something for their kids in such hard time. Hopefully management will think about prices.
