The manager of this campground is violent, and he yell at you if he does not like what you have to say...many people have reported this...Thousand trails does not respond to complaints and they dont take ownership of this campground at all. Be aware that if you camp here is like camping on nobody's land. And they will threaten you if you leave a bad review online. Some are afraid that their membership will be cancelled after a review!! This manager yelled at my wife on mothers day because he did not like her comments about how bad the campground was. Playground was removed and it was placed outside of The main gate!!! kids not allowed in the gym room...the ping pong table removed .. etc... you know what I mean if you ever came here on the good times...where all kids were dancing and playing around...even cleaning! We miss those rangers that were happy to see kids and family together... that worked hard to have the best family room of all Thousand Trails... now...the store is more important... and so... the family room was reduced and the main table...is for giants... not even for seniors...We are all waiting... for a better manager to come...

Most wonderful camping experience by far. Been going for years. The cabins have air conditioned and satellite and wifi. Then and scorching temperatures there is a fantastic pool within steps as well as club house with to many amenities to list a rec center with bingo and breakfast all very reasonably priced and minutes from the beach LOVE IT

I just rejoined and I am so impressed. The new manager actually cares that everyone is having a good time. The place has some upgrades that made this place so much better and I've heard they are moving the park back to the field. All staff has become way more friendly and customer orientated. Roy has made a huge difference in such a short time that I plan to book more time here cause I know it is a beautiful friendly place.

We are so happy with our membership here. We went for our first weekend last weekend and had a great time. The kids made friends, the pool was amazing, and most of all, the staff is phenomenal. They are kind, helpful, and accommodating. We love being a part of this community and cannot say enough about the camping community and staff. We highly recommend this place to anyone that asks.

I have been coming here with my grandmother since I was a baby and now I get to enjoy sharing the wonderful experiences with my children. The staff are wonderful and the new manager, Roy, is an absolute delight! Huge upgrade from the previous one. Big shout ot to Joy in the store/office! She was so helpful and knowledgeable, thousand trails is lucky to have such a great person working for them. I'm so glad that the staff are working towards bringing the park back to how I remembered it as a kid. The live music on Canada day was quite a treat, can't wait to see what else Roy has planned for the rest of summer. Keep it up!

Our first experience with TT. Not impressed with this place. A little worried that all TT are going to show awesome photos but not a real representation of there campsites.JUST SO YOU KNOW IT IS NOT ON A BEACH. The photos make it look like you are but, you are not. You have to walk a long way (or bike) to get to a beach. The photo shows a beautiful creek but it is fenced off so that you cannot get to Lindell Beach at all. Also it is first come first serve. We did not know that so when we pulled up with our 56' rig we had a hard time finding a place. Lots of trees--which is great but Starlink was also difficult to get an unobstructed area. That's not there fault, just saying. Small unit parked in the largest spot...that's not right.Maintenance is a problem. It seems that no one gives a rip. Here is a list of questionable maintenance problems; Mold on shower curtains in shower area, counters in bathroom need some upkeep, when sewers don't work they just put a sign out that says no sewer"

Public washrooms need a thorough cleaning. Sewer smell was really bad. Hand soap was scarce. The staff are very pleasant. Don't try to get in early as they only open the gate at 1 o'clock sharp. Most of the sites are no-sewer status as their septic tank needs repair/replacement. Thwy have a sewer pump service free to you that comes around daily. Just need to register with front gate. Some sites have been downgraded from 30 to 15 amps throughout the park. Not many 50 amp.Peaceful park. Close to the lake. Would I come again? Yes as I see it has great potential.

I am so thankful that the new manager is willing to bring the campground to what it was in the past: a happy family oriented community. Very polite, protector of trees and green areas, ready to bring live music... morning breakfasts... potlucks... This community has been broken in so many aspects... Many have left ... We almost did.. we have seen very special spaces been disrupted so badly... Like the playground and family room... The basketball hoop!!! That to have a new manager willing to help to repair this... It is just... Even as an idea... A relieve... A hope... A beautiful beginning. Roy welcome and thank you very much for coming to the rescue!

Pros:-Big field in the middle with large sand pit where kids can play, interact, and roam free. The kids made so many friends!- Gorgeous large pool. One day they were playing music over the speakers by the pool, which made it extra fun.- Nice big playground. It would be nice if it was placed in the centre field rather than the outskirts where kids have to exit the main part of the campground and cross the entry/exit road.Cons:- It would be nice if they had ping pong/ horseshoes/ games by the big covered area that looks like it is supposed to house activities. It would also be nice if they opened that room that is closed off and housed kids activities/games. The main lodge is completely adult oriented, so it would be nice to have an activity centre for the kids.- Sewer. When we arrived, we were told not to worry about finding a site with sewer because they had a truck that went around to empty people's tanks. When we went to ask about it a few days later, we were told we had to make an appointment ahead of time and had to wait another day. After a day of not being able to use water in our RV, they still hadn't come. We were told to wait until night time and they still didn't come and then realized someone had made a mistake. They did send someone to come and temporarily solve our issue and fixed it properly the next day, The staff were friendly and helpful, but they need to figure out a better system for the sewer. All in all, the kids loved it, and we look forward to camping there again.

Realistically... this place does need some updates in regards to sewer and power etc.... However... we ALWAYS have a great time at thousand trails. The staff is awesome they have always been very polite and helpful. The store is great and super handy and reasonable. The ICE CREAM is to die for! So is the poutine...if you go.. try it.... The pool is clean and everything is well maintained. It's a really great and safe place to be. I love it here. It's very peaceful.... and the river is a great added touch... while I do know others who have had bad experiences here... I personally never have... its my favorite campsite!
